Snip Snip & It’s A Hit!
I do not remember where I bought this necklace, but it works perfect with the jacket!! |
When my children were younger, my husband traveled more for his profession. He would always bring us a present from any significant city he visited for longer than one night. I have snow globes from New York…message Ts…jewelry….and then there was the time he returned from Las Vegas with a very large, long dress with a very large, dominant print.
I tried everything I could to make the dress look flattering…NOTHING worked. So, for a few years I wore it as a long (to the ankle) jacket. I thought it was kind of cool….but I always received some funny looks.
Last year, I noticed similar prints in several fashion magazines and suddenly felt inspired. I took out my scissors and cut it off just below the pockets…there you have it, a great jacket! I do not really sew; therefore, I needed the dry cleaners to handle the hem. Someone actually asked me once if it was a Diane Von Furstenberg piece! No, but it is one of my favorites!
Thank you for your lovely comment. I am so glad that you liked my blog.
I shall keep a close eye in yours as well.
Un abrazo from Spain.

Tribal for WASPs? It's got kind of a Mondrain thing going.
Ohh! beautiful!
I am in a chop-shop phase as well.
I used to have chop-o-phobia but fellow bloggers keep me thinking about clothing in a different light 🙂

Coolness! Great job with the creative coutur-ing!
And what did you husband have to say about the re-styling? I worry about my re-purposing of some of my husband's well-intentioned gifts.
