Where Have All the Flowers Gone?
On to our clothing! It is the second feminine touch for the Spring 2011 Floral Trends I wanted to discuss. I am a typical girl…I love a floral touch. But another look I also love is the “artist-smock-look.” I know it features an oversized garment and that is a no, no…but I have always loved this look of a long, flowy jacket. I saw it featured again in the April 2011 Harper’s Bazaar…and I would love to find these colors.

But, back to the flower garden…the great thing about the floral look, like the lace is that it is usually in…but just like the lace, we have to watch it or the matronly look will take over. I think I will avoid most of the head to toe floral looks featured in some of the magazines…and I will probably avoid the floral jackets. But, a tank or T shirt, dress, blouse, or scarf might be the perfect ways to follow the trend.

Thanks to Susan at Flattering 50 for the Versatile Bloggers Award. I am about to leave town for the rest of the week, so I will answer the questions and pass this a long over the weekend. It is an honor to be noticed!!
Flowers, yes. Lots of flowers. Wonder if it'll help Spring come. It was here for a couple of days. Gone now.
I once heard Isaac Mizrahi say that one should wear animal prints in reverse proportion to 0ne's age. He said that the older we get, the less we should wear. I think that applies to florals and lace as well. I wear only one piece per outfit, a scarf, cami, my purse to pop the look. I'm looking forward to floral for spring and summer. I love color!
Yes it is all about the florals this spring, I already have 2 floral print blouses ready to go for spring but no one told the weather here in Syracuse to warm up. I have been searching for my big floral ring to wear all spring and maybe into summer and I like yours so maybe I should just head over to LB and get a new one. I also love pier 1 for the home decor I seriously could move in there if they had food. They had very cute accessories especially big earrings which I totally need a go to pair for spring for my style plan. I hope to unveil soon.
I love the last picture with that great flower ring next to your floral blouse. So gorgeous!
You are blooming and it looks great!

Your floral sandals are so cute! I love floral so I'm glad its on trend. Seems to me last spring was floral heavy too b/c I started buying more. My husband thinks floral looks "granny". My 11 year old daughter always says "There's a fine line between Anthropologie and Granny!" It is pretty true. The vintage vibe and florals are a fine line. Love your Kohls shirt- I went there yesterday and found a flowy cardigan – I love the flowy cardis too!
so loving the flower ring
I am loving the all the florals this spring as well
Got a pair of floral shorts that I can't wait to wear.
Have a great time on your trip!!

Florals make me happy and yet I can't seem to make myself buy floral items. Must change this pattern.
xo,

I've been adoring florals lately, too! I just don't have as many as I would assume a print-hoarder like me would own. I guess that means I need to so some shopping!
I think Just one Donna is right–i am a lot more careful about florals now and tend to go for ones that are more abstract.
I love this look on you tho! I love the longer jacket, and the peaking out of the floral top is just enough! Paula
I love my flower dresses… they are the ones that make me feel the prettest.
I love how you did the floral! It's just the right amount and it's the STAR of your outfit! Have fun out of town!! Hugs! ~Serene
The blouse you are wearing is beautiful. I love the colors and the cut of it.
