I Have Nothing To Wear!!!

Mirasol Skirt: Goodwill
Retro Chico’s Blouse
Lane Bryant Lace Sweater
Guess Shoes: Marshall’s

Today, I am actually celebrating that I have so little to wear!! Last night, I planned an outfit around my Liz Claiborne denim skirt. The last time I wore it, there was a little room in it…but, this morning, there was A LOT of room in it! I was amazed at the difference. It was too big to even cinch with a belt . I stood in the closet, let the skirt fall off of me to the floor and said WHOA!!!!… To no one in particular. So, I will move it to a possible re-sale pile!

I turned instead to a Mirasol skirt recently purchased for $3 at Goodwill!! I have purchased Mirasol in the past at Macy’s because of the bohemian touch their designs often have. Pattern, texture, and shine are all features of today’s outfit and though the colors are more autumn-ish…I like it!

I tried for a long time to
figure out the round
spot on the boob!  No
idea! The belt is Madden from
Ross!!
Headband: Target
Ring: Buffalo Exchange
Four Strands Bracelet: Garage Sale, 25 cents
Bracelet: Fashion Week Sale

My lack of clothing is such a victory for me…I finally believe that my food desires (or lack of) are finally changing. There are some things that do not look appealing like they used to. When I watched the Early News today, ABC featured a new study about food addictions. In the early stages of my diet, I was panicky and miserable…it was blatantly obvious that I was addicted to food. The first 2-3 weeks were miserable only because something wasn’t constantly in my mouth!! I did feel a strong draw to the food not allowed on the diet!  But, today I feel a new freedom….wrapped in a realization that I could so easily go back to that point if I am not careful.

Here is the food addiction story:   http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/the-checkup/post/yale-study-probes-food-addiction/2011/04/04/AFnXMggC_blog.html

  1. The fact that your denim skirt is way too big is absolutely fabulous. You have worked hard to get to this point and I'm sure it's very gratifying to see the results of your efforts puddled around your ankles. Hmmm, maybe that didn't sound quite right but I think you know what I mean. 😉

  2. I am so glad that you feel free and like yourself even more. You look fantastic in both pics, to me.
    Loving your yewellery.

  3. I'm so excited for you. You have got to be really proud. And like everyone else, I love your outfit, especially the jewelry.

  4. wow. what a difference in the before and after pics. How exciting that the skirt fell off of you. I could see you in the closet saying WHOA to yourself, perhaps looking around and then giggling.

    xo,

  5. Celebrate !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm so happy for you – our health is the most important gift we have!
( Plus being smaller is a bonus! )
Though, when i dropped down to a 4/6 last year, i got a free chicken neck in the deal 😉
The 10 neck looks better, but my tummy is a bulgin' 😉

  6. What a great success for you, Pam! Well done! I also had a skirt fall off me when I was halfway through my weight loss: it fell off right in front of a bus while I was on my way to work! I had to pin it to my sweater all day.

  7. The denim skirt is cute…but yeah that it no longer fits! You're looking great and no doubt, feeling lighter too. Admiring the way, you've belted today's look and those cute shoes.

  8. Pam, as always you look fabulous. I think it was great that your kids got to go to school barefoot. Both of my girls have Toms but had to wear shoes to school
