EBEW: Florals….I Feel Like Dancin’!!

“I wandered lonely as a cloud

That floats on high o’er vales and hills,

When all at once I saw a crowd,

A host, of golden daffodils;

Beside the lake, beneath the trees,

Fluttering and dancing in the breeze

Continuous as the stars that shine

And twinkle on the Milky Way,

They stretched in never-ending line

Along the margin of a bay:

Ten thousand saw I at a glance,

Tossing their heads in sprightly dance.”

~William Wordsworth, “I Wandered Lonely as a Cloud,” 1804

The beauty of flowers….they make us smile, laugh, sigh, and dance!! In San Antonio, last night, residents actually met under a bridge to perform a rain dance. The last time we had measurable rain was February 9…long time. The sad thing is that without rain…there are few flowers this year. In fact, the traditional blankets of Texas wildflowers are nowhere to be seen….no bluebonnets, no Indian Paintbrushes, no daffodils, just dry land.

I recently bought this JNY dress
for our rehearsal dinner in June!!
These are the Michael Kors platforms
that I love!!

Thank goodness there are flowers everywhere on spring clothes! At least they don’t require rain. Just great accessorizing!!

This JNY cardigan has flower buttons!  So cute!
Ring: Lane Bryant
Bracelet: Avenue

CONFESSION: I now know that having the computer battery charger near the cat’s water bowl is not really a good idea. I did not want to take time to order one online, so I went by a retailer called Altex Computers and Electronics. They were great! I walked out with a new battery charger and was a happy blogger within 24 hours of the mistake!! Just out fifty bucks….live and learn!!

Now go look at other great bloggers dancing in flowers!!

  1. You look absolutely joyful! You are a spring bouquet.

What a shame that you aren't seeing the wildflowers this year. We have periodic droughts here in Southern California, but this year the rain was plentiful, and there's actually still green on the hills.

  2. I am SO happy that you are up and back posting so quickly. Of course, I wouldn't go anywhere as I adore your blog and read it every morning.

You look adorable! I have wondered how deeply you are impacted by the drought conditions. Well, if joy can bring on rain surely your outfit and poses will do it. You are going to be a smashing mother of the bride with that beautiful dress. Love the buttons on the sweater. Thanks for the pretty post. Glad you are back.

  3. I'll bet there are plenty of folks in Memphis who'd have gladly sent you some of their rain!

    Sorry about the battery!

  4. Sorry you all are missing your wildflowers this year – Indian paintbrush is one of my all-time favorite flowers.

Also, thank you so much for stopping by my blog and commenting. That means a lot to me.

  6. I love the dress — beautiful colors! sorry about the flowers (the real Texas ones, that is! That's a bummer). We've been getting so much rain, that our flowers are here today, but gone tomorrow.
