If You Shop For One Thing This Weekend….

Make sure you have leopard in your wardrobe.  That’s what the experts are saying.  Yesterday, the San Antonio Express News fashion section featured leopard, “The jungle never sleeps.  It seems. At least not when it comes to fashion.” (Lead by Molly Glentzer)
According to InStyle currently on the stands, the leopard trend should really NEVER sleep.  They have it listed as one of The 50 Best Fashion Tips of All Time.  Stylist, Rob Zangardi, suggests that every wardrobe should have at least one leopard item, because it is “timeless, racy enough, and always glamorous.”
I love a touch of leopard.  I wore my old flats literally until the backs were too worn to wear…and this summer picked up a pointed toe pair at Goodwill for $2 and found my new Sam Edelman ballet flats on a DSW clearance rack…and I LOVE THEM!  Check out their Fall 2011 collection HERE.  Also, I like the idea of a leopard belt and might have to keep my eyes open for one at a reasonable price.
BTW:  I really love to pair leopard with orange and that is why I pictured the shoes with my favorite orange bag.  I found it about five years ago at Marshall’s.  It was Made in Italy by Roberta Gandolfi and I love the buttery leather.
Last season purchase….a leopard blouse
100% Cotton, CHAPS, @ Kohl’s
If you are shopping for fall this weekend….try on things you normally wouldn’t and have fun!!

  1. Glad it is still in style as I own a few items. One suggestion: I did see a lady who wore all her leopard together….DON'T DO IT!

  2. Those Sam Edelman flats are fab, Pam! I have a skinny leopard print belt, but that's about all right now. I'd like to add a blue-leopard print scarf I just saw somewhere on line — GAP? Target? (not expensive). If you've seen it, let me know. Happy Friday, my friend!

  3. I was looking at a magazine and saw a knee length leopard coat that I would love to have. It really is timeless (thank goodness we have really good faux leopard now!) I also saw some cool leopard beatle boots, but they were WAY out of my price range, but coveted nevertheless.

  4. Leopard has been my favorite print since I was a teenager (and back then, hard to find!). I love leopard paired with olive green especially. Your calf-hair flats are so cute!

  5. I have a 2" leopard belt and find it hard to wear. I might consider a skinny one.

I've seen a couple of bloggers with leopard pumps and I like how many things they seem to go with so I may try that.

  6. Love leopard shoes. I have the cutest pair of flats and I have my eye on a leopard blouse from J Crew! Have a wonderful weekend, Sweetie!! xo

  7. I don't know why I'm not more comfortable with animal prints….I always think they look great whenever I see someone wearing them. Your shoes are adorable! Hugs! ~Serene

  8. I like leopard trend, but right now I'm a bit tired of see it literally everywhere. Despite that, I don't mind to find a good leo belt or shoes (I think leopard generally is much better in small details). But, in fact, what I'm really looking for is a good pair of snake patterned trainers.

  9. When is leopard NOT in style? Never! Those types of magazine articles always make me laugh – I hosted Leopard Week back in February!

I love your pointy-toe leopard flats, Pam – those are fabulous!

    Have a great weekend!

  10. I am a huge leopard print fan. I love your leopard shoes, so jealous! As for a belt, try J. Crew, I think they may have some. I will be busting out my leopard cuff and leopard silk scarf this fall. I only do leopard in little pops. Have a great weekend!

  11. I LOVE leopard! I have so much of it but, most definitely, follow the "one piece per outfit" rule.
My most recent purchase were two leopard print handbags at TJ Maxx. One was black/grey and the other was the more traditional print. I couldn't decide which one I liked best so I bought BOTH!!

  12. leopard will never go out of style in my book! so glad to read this! this, like stripes, should be considered a classic!
