Fashion Show! Fiesta Ole Style!

Let’s take an ocean full of color…add
in a lake full of bling…include Fiesta royalty…medals…television and radio
personalities…newspaper editors…city employees…county judges… beautiful women…and
just a tad more color and you have set sail with the tenth annual Fiesta Ole
Fashion Show sponsored by the Pan American League of San Antonio!
“This is one of our biggest
fundraisers of the year,” said Herlinda Sifuentes, Pan American League President.  “Our group began in 1947 when a city nurse
was motivated to open a clinic in the area we now call Edgewood.  She saw a need among lower income residents
for good medical care.”  They began by
playing canasta tournaments and with garage sales, but through the years the
group has narrowed their social work down to two main fundraisers.  “We fund many needs in a variety of areas
including continuing the health clinic and providing scholarships,” she said.
The first Fiesta fashion show of
2012 included styles by San Antonio’s own Graciela from her boutique Graciela’s
at the Yard on McCullough. Held at the beautiful Oak Hills Country Club, the show was
fun, joyful, over-the-top and definitely FIESTA!  It was one event where the audience was as
decked out as the fashionistas on the runway!
I hope you enjoy the photos in the link below!
Great job to everyone who worked on this event!
