Good times at Goodwill!

Good times at Goodwill!!  That is exactly what I have experienced lately…good times!!  For today’s post, Goodwill SA asked me to
shop in the store area called Julia’s Attic
This is where they display items donated from the ladies of our local
Junior League and usually the items are top quality!
I had some tough decisions to make
after finding several excellent pieces, but again, I look for what will
strengthen my personal wardrobe and breathe relief into the budget.  After selecting
my purchases, the first thing I do when I get home is clean the items.  Occasionally, I have taken a couple of the
better clothing to the dry cleaners.  The
majority hit my washer.  I never buy
anything with stains…just doesn’t sit well with me and not sure if they will
come out.
There are too many new or
like-new items to discover which makes this treasure hunt worth the time.  In fact, I recently brought my husband a
brand new Eddie Bauer button down shirt from Julia’s Attic!!
I know I will wear this leopard top
a lot this summer.  I saw a similar one
at Chico’s the other day for around $60….this top was only $3.99!!  Then in Julia’s attic, my eye went right to
this fun handbag for $9.99.   I knew it
would be mine the minute I saw it on the shelf….for this outfit, the pattern
mixing works.  I like pattern mixing best when its done in the same color palette.
Finally, I also found in Julia’s
Attic these fun Chico’s capri pants for $9.99.
Polka Dots are everywhere and these will make for some casual, summer
fun!!  All items today were purchased from the Goodwill SA at Highway 281N and Bitters Road!  Stop by and like them on FACEBOOK!

And I cannot WAIT to see how you bring on the PARIS BLING to us for the party! Oooooo this will be fun. Thank you for participating! More info to come. Anita

  4. My personal faves are that gorgeous and dintinctive handbag and that one cuff (you should guess it as it is soooo me, and you, ha ha) But the polka pants and the leo print top are pretty good finds too. I've been going cray-cray at my local Goodwill lately. They have GREAT deals, great stuff and the money goes to a GREAT cause. Can't beat fun, and guilt-free shopping!

  5. First, I love the outdoor photos!
You look so fashionable in your leopard outfit! The bag is gorgeous, too!
The white tunic outfit would be perfect for hot summer days in Texas!
    Great finds Pam!

  6. Oh my gosh, those are CUTE outfits!
I shop at Goodwill a lot, and I have questions for you:

How did you clean the bag? (I, too, throw all my GW purchases into the washer immediately, but not sure how to deal with something like a purse.)

Can you use your influence and ask them to stop using destructive methods of attaching the price tags? I have gotten way too many items that had small holes that were caused by the Goodwill staff either stapling the tags to the sleeves (!) or poking the plastic stip through the fabric instead of the seam.

    Thank you so much!

  7. We have a Goodwill in my city … BUT nothing like yours! Love the beautiful bargains you snapped up! You look lovely.

  8. Love all of it, but I'm really wanting a white top like the one you're wearing with the capris. I don't have anything like that, and it looks so clean and summery!

I'm modeling the top I won on your Soft Surroundings give-away! Thanks again! 🙂

  9. I wish my local Goodwill had an area called "Julia's Attic". Instead I have one of those by-the-pound outlets to look forward to. I have purse envy!

  10. Fabulous Goodwill finds. Adore the handbag! You look fantastic in all the photos. I have had fun at Goodwill recently too–but it has all been in finding vintage pjs (some with tags still on)…silky, pretty sets that scream Doris Day in Pillow Talk. ; )
