From the Greek Islands to Neiman Marcus…Konstantino
As I approached the jewelry area of Neiman Marcus at The Shops of La Cantera, my eyes went immediately to the gorgeous bracelets
glistening before me. Of all the jewelry in the world, bracelets make me sigh with desire…and these were stunning.

Then my special escort from Neiman’s turned my attentions to
the jewelry designer himself…simply…Konstantino. Dressed
in dark denim and a sports jacket, this Greek version of Paul Newman, graciously said
hello through a 100-watt smile and a heavy accent. After that, I was not surprised to see women(or
middle aged groupies) surround the jewelry counter where he would engrave his
signature in the elegant pieces purchased that day in store.

When I told him the name of my blog, he posed a mischievous laugh and insisted he was just under 50…this laugh, accessorized
with tan lines around the eyes, told a story of life on tour. You could see a little weariness perhaps from promoting his successful line. Inspiration? He said, “I have
inspiration in my life every day. There
is no day without it and a true artist knows it does not dry up.”

From his website: “Konstantino was
born in Athens and raised
amid the beauty and majesty of

one of the oldest civilizations in the world.
“My father was a huge influence
in my life… he taught me
in my life… he taught me
constantly about Greek philosophy, history and art.”
Enthralled with Greek history and
the rich legacy of Greek
the rich legacy of Greek
gods and goddesses, Konstantino developed an endless
fascination with the artisanship of the earliest Greek jewelry
designs.
“This is why our jewelry is

designs are timeless and universal. They come

of civilization and the elements of the modern world.”
Throughout time, artisans have
paid homage to Aphrodite,

the Greek goddess of love and beauty. In his own

this magnificent goddess, Konstantino has devoted a
lifetime to

I left there impressed with the man, the art, and the

Have a wonderful Wednesday everyone!
Really lovely. I love signature jewelry, like what my mom wore in the 60's. I think it has a huge impact on your style.
Beautiful pieces — I love bracelets too. I enjoy your recently discovered blog! I'm a woman just over 60, feeling 40! and also blog though my focus is on fashion. Come by and visit if you have time, I'd love your feedback! Cheers, Anne
Those are really beautiful pieces. Love that first bracelet so much.
He is indeed charming. And, he does radiate charm and energy. I have some of his work from the 90's. Silver and gold mix.
Gorgeous pieces!
Comments like yours is worth more than being in Vogue.
Thank you, my dear Pam, you are a poet.

Gorgeous, gorgeous jewelry. I love jewelry and I'm pretty loyal to my favorite brand, Lia Sophia (I'm and advisor), but Konstantion's pieces made me a little weak in the knees.
I have long admired his jewelry and also wished that I was wealthy enough to afford just one beautiful piece. His creations have a bit of vintage elegance that I love.
I so appreciate the things you share with us. We have nothing like Neiman's here, so I must live vicariously through what you share with us.
SO gorgeous! Each piece is more beautiful than the next!
