Styling for Changes and A HUGE Foxcroft Giveaway!

I

It never fails…just when I think I have a handle on everything…changes happen!!  I have been dealing with computer issues for a few months, but on Saturday my old Dell said, “I’ve had enough!” and crashed for good.  One part of me is excited to have a new computer and enter the world of Windows 8…another part of me is sooooo stressed by it and all that I have to learn…again…a different way!  Also, I now owe Best Buy most of my summer school pay…which I had other plans for.  I learned from the new computer that I had HUNDREDS of comments in  moderation.  There have been several of you ask me why your comments were not showing…well the old computer ate them!!  But I have been through all and placed them back on the pages…and I think I have all of the contest entries there for my previous contest.

But, here is the bright side (I always look for the bright side)!  I believe we stay young by constantly  learning new things.  When we stretch our knowledge and abilities, then we are not stagnating.  So, I have been stretching for hours this weekend and still have more to do!  Spring is a time for change and cleaning out the old…RIGHT??

It also helps to look and feel our best while we are working our minds.  The wonderful people at Foxcroft Collection sent me this beautiful coral cotton tunic to show you!  They had me at the words NO IRON!  This is the most comfortable garment!

It has beautiful detailing and I know will be one of my favorites this summer.  Now, here is the amazing part:  Foxcroft wants THREE of you to have one of these tunics.  They come in gorgeous colors: Marina Blue, Island Blue, Lime, Tropical Pink and mine, Papaya!!  So, on April 10, I will select THREE winners .  This is primarily a FaceBook giveaway, but if you will sign up for the Foxcroft newsletter on their website and tell me in your comments, you can still be registered to win!!  All you have to do is:

1. Like or be a friend of over50feeling40 on Facebook on Facebook
2. Follow Foxcroft on Facebook and post on their wall that you are a fan of over50feeling40.

Then you are entered in the drawing!!  Wednesday I will select a winner for the Soft Surroundings topper (You can still enter in the sidebar)

  1. Love this "papaya" color on you Pam! I feel you as you learn new software – it's always a challenge for me too, as I am delighted when I finally master something : > thanks for linking up to Visible Monday. xoxoxo

  2. I can so relate to the stretch-your-mind thing!! It's has to be my mantra, because otherwise I think I'd lose it. Facebook? Umm, sorry. I can barely blog and email. You look radiant in that delicious melon color and I love your shoes too.

  3. That shade is just lovely on you, and anything that doesn't require an iron is automatically more attractive than something that does! I've passed on 100% cotton and linen pieces for that very reason.

  5. OMG! First of all, I have to tell you I love Ross for EVERYTHING including shoes, clothes, housewares, etc. and when I find something I love on the clearance rack, I am in shopping heaven.

I love the Foxcroft tunic. The detailing is exquisite. If I won, I would love a lime green one. Lime is all the rage this spring & it goes with my zany OVER 60 personality.

    You look amazing!!!!!

  6. Great color for you Pam. I love Foxcroft for my shirts. They have both fitted and more open size. I agree the no iron feature is the best. Ps I like those shoes

  7. Know what you mean about learning a new operating system. I had to do the same last summer. Still haven't sorted out my email situation. I love the papaya color. You are also correct about keeping mentally sharp. My 91 year old mom is still sharp and she did you recommend keep learning.

  8. You look so fabulous, Pam. I love the tunic – LOVE! I also love pants and purse. Where are they from?

    Thanks for another wonderful post.

  9. The tunic, with its vibrant coral, looks as fresh as the first day of spring. And I love your sandals!

Seems as though there's always something new to learn, especially in the area of technology. I agree that it keeps our brains resilient, but wouldn't it be nice to catch a break? I've learned that even a computer upgrade takes time to integrate!

  10. Pam I adore the coral and what a great style. Foxcroft is the best!
Fingers crossed and I also Liked Foxcroft on Facebook!

  11. Well, you sure look like spring is finally getting here! Love the tunic and the color! Thanks for being a voice for us over 50s…sometimes I have a voice of reason….but sometimes I sure could use some help! LOL

  12. No-iron! That would have sold me on it too! The color is great and the detailing at the back is so unexpected! Sorry to hear about your computer crashing but I'm glad you've found the missing comments and have put a positive spin on learning something new. It's always good to do that!

  13. Aaah…computer death. It makes you realise how dependent we are on our technology, doesn't it? don't sweat the new one…you will undoubtedly find it more user-friendly than the last.

  15. Just discovered your lovely Blog. You look terrific in that tunic. Coral is one of my favorite colors. I consider it the great chameleon of colors, as it seems to work for everyone. It manages to flatter warm and cool tones alike, bringing out the best in each.

Brava on your philosophy. I remember feeling very much 40 in my 50s (not toooo long ago.).

    Regards, M-T

  16. I'm trying to strech my style instead. But i quite like ironing.Nevertheless the tunic has a stunning peach color and you look stunning at it!

  17. Good afternoon my dear ! SO GOOD TO SEE YOUR SMILE! How great that you can wear such light clothing now; not here. We are still in the mid 30s to 40s, but really, anything above 32 is "warm!" But not warm enough to start really feeling like spring.

I hope your computer issues will be resolved; it is always frustrating to deal with that!

    HAPPY APRIL! Anita
