The Road to Fabulous Is Paved with Courage

“The key to change… is to let go of fear.”
– Rosanne Cash
I am certain Rosanne knows this is easy to say and not so easy to
do.  How do we flip the switch and shine courage into the darkness of our
fears?  Sometimes living as the invisible is comforting…within that
darkness we do not have to be concerned about what others say.  The only
problem is that the darkness is a lonely, depressing place.
This is where many of us find ourselves as we enter the other
side…
life in middle age.  I found myself there at age 50…invisible,
not caring for my appearance, living through my children… not that passionate
about life any longer.  It was as if I looked in the mirror one day, and
said, “What are you doing?”  Life was passing me by…suddenly I was ready
to catch up with it…….
This is part of a series I am writing for GENERATION FABULOUS…hop on over to read the rest of this post!  (Just click HERE)
The above photo represents so much for me…the courage to wear a shorter length dress…the courage to wear a dress which fits my curves…the courage to stage an actual photo shoot in a public place…I have come a long way baby!  You can too!
Have a wonderful and safe Wednesday!!

  1. This is a great outfit for you, Pam! You look great. The shorter length looks good and the lighter, softer colors. And I love the posts that you're doing for the new site. I suspect that they're very helpful for many of us. I finally found some clothes that fit me AND are stylish at Kohl's mad TJMaxx this weekend. I'm so excited to be able to look nice again, keep up the good work.

  4. The shorter length looks great on you, Pam. Your courage is contagious and I think it's very exciting that you're writing for Generation Fabulous. You are an inspiration to many.

  5. Hi Pam! You have come a long way baby! I love this. This outfit is so fresh, fun and flattering. You had at 'the courage to stage an outdoor photo shoot'. Bravo! I'm still completely uncomfortable with my own outfit posts (which don't exist yet). You give me courage. 🙂

  6. Hello Pam! Very nice summery look. Stylish flattering cardigan and fantastic oversized jewelry! It would be lovely to see the dress without cardigan though. You really transformed yourself (I've seen you DL photo on your profile…WOW!)
You've inspired me to leave my comfort zone. As a designer and being tall and rather fit I'm always dressed in style but for years I didn't have a skirt (!) just all sorts of pants: casual, dressy, cropped, capri, wide, slim etc. for any occasion and weather. (Exclusion was made for beach style long printed skirts).

Thanks to your inspiration I've recently bought 3 pencil skirts mid knee length. For me it's a drastic image change!
    Forgotten feeling.
