The Art of Shoe Shopping in Chicago + Winner Announced!
Actually, there is no art to it…just great shopping in Chicago. I wanted a reason to use this painting from the THE ART INSTITUTE OF CHICAGO.
But, I did buy shoes…though they were not on my list…they were on a great clearance rack.
I love them both, and the VIA SPIGAS ,in the back, are my favorites.
Here is the explanation on the painting. Can you imagine what it would have been like to enter one of the first department stores and buy shoes with your girlfriends? How much fun…heck…it’s still fun!
Is anyone shopping or, maybe, even visiting a museum this weekend?
Agreed – shoe shopping with friends is the definition of a fun afternoon. I really like your new additions! xoxo
Yay to shoe shopping and blue bonnets! It seems you had a great time in Chicago and I love the addition of that painting, especially that it was done by a woman! I had not seen that work before so thank you for introducing it to me. Now I would like to get my hands on a postcard print of it to add to the inspiration board on my dresser! You are the best Pam, have a great weekend! XO, Jill
Ahhh…shoe shopping in Chicago AND the Art Institute…sounds like MY kind of trip!! Have a great weekend!!
I've only been to Chicago once and that was nearly 20 years ago, I'd love to go back! I like the woven shoes, they're cute.
The first time I ever went to Chicago (10 years ago) I ended up buying a pair of shoes because the ones I was wearing while shopping were giving me blisters.
I had those shoes up until last summer when they completely fell apart!

No shoe shopping for me this weekend. Gardening, and socializing will fill the days and evenings. It's fun to shop for anything with good girlfriends. Have a lovely weekend.
Shoe shopping? Did someone say my favorite phrase? (And shoe shopping in Chicago? Oh, that would be fun.)
Of course, your flats are very cute, but I sure love my heels…
🙂
I love Chicago it has been awhile since I've been. Family get togethers this weekend!
