Friday Flash!

I am not going to sugar coat this…after fourteen years of teaching, this has been the most difficult first week of school I have ever had!  So it helps me, to look at this picture I took on my recent journey to GOODWILL and remember that no matter how stressful, each day is a gift…and they go by all too quickly!

I also thought it would be fun to share a couple of pictures I have taken lately but not used yet on the blog!

I hope all of you have a fabulous Friday…I for one am so happy to see the end of this week…and I have a fun outing on Saturday that I will share with you later!

Joy!!

  1. Hello dear Pam,
Oh yes, I can certainly relate to a stressful going back to school days. My work day yesterday involved handling a runaway student playing chicken with traffic and the sheriff's department. I'm sorry yours has been such a challenge. It feels exhausting doesn't it? You and I are on the same wavelength seeking a little beauty and peace to sooth our souls from a stressful workplace. Love the Jimmy Choo shot!
I'm heading to wine country and will be meeting Adrienne (Rich life on a Budget) for the first time. Wishing you a wonderful weekend-sounds like you have fun times planned. Well deserved my friend!

  2. I understand, my husband has already stated that this will be his last year, he's a Student Advisor who is ready to retire. Enjoy the weekend and try to get some rest.

  3. No Kristen, After almost 20 years, my BFF has moved to a new city and a new town…it has been difficult to weather storms without her…but we have talked on the phone often!

  4. Monday is two days away…have a wonderful weekend!. Maybe by Monday, the energy will change and you will be reporting next Friday that you just had the best second week of school in 14 years.

  5. Such a great picture of you! I love this bracelet, what a beauty. Hope next week is better at school. It's got to be? One of my friends has volunteered to teach 7th grade art class in the last period of the day. She says she thinks it's going to be really difficult but someone has to do it. Every teacher truly is an angel!

  6. Such a wonderful picture of you… absolutely beautiful!! Sorry your first week was such a rough one, hopefully things will get better. Enjoy your weekend 🙂

  7. So sorry it was a bad week… I have a friend who is also a teacher who seems to have had quite the enervating week 1… Of course you know you're fortunate to have employment in this economy and every job has its dreadful days (I know you know that).

Still, maybe a little shoe shopping therapy?

    🙂

  8. I asked because I know you said she had moved and it is very hard to adjust sometimes when a dear friend and colleague is missing from your daily life. Looking forward to seeing a friend each day helps soften the edges of difficult days. Good that you are talking often!
Keep your chin up and I hope the next week is better.

  9. So sorry to hear your first week back was so awful
You can only go up from the bottom right??
    Love the picture of you!
Hope next week is much better
    Brett
