Feeling Power-ful!

As I enter a new year, I am feeling better than I have in a long time!  Results from six months of weight training and cardio are beginning to show!

Now, I do not recommend this and I do not do it often.  But, I bought this jacket at Chico’s last year in a smaller size. That was all that was left and I loved the jacket so much, I was determined I would wear it one day.  Today, is that day!

It has everything I love in a jacket…flattering seaming, great fit, neutrals, perfect for any season, looks great with anything from denim to dresses.
And the fact that I can now wear it is so gratifying!

There is a long way to go, but at least progress is being made…and it makes me feel electric and powerful!

Now go enjoy the other electric looks of the bloggers at VISIBLE MONDAY!!  and MONDAY MINGLE!!

Enjoy your last Monday of 2013!

  1. What a fantastic jacket dear Pam! It looks great, and I know what you mean.. i have done the same thing before when I bought a dress a tad too small to motivate me to exercise 🙂 all the best my dear, hugs Beata xx

  2. You put me on your blog list… thank you so much! Love that jacket! I just purchased a beautiful black and white, blinged out Chico's jacket from Savers thrift store for $10.50! I can't wait to style it on my blog. I couldn't believe it when I read that you were 60, you could easily pass for 10 years younger! I also see that you live in San Antonio. I hope to make it back there this summer to shop for my Thrifty Over 50 Thrift Town blog.

No one has ever done that…you are too kind. 🙂 BTW I was surprised to read that you are 60…you could EASILY pass for ten years younger…and I see you live in San Antonio. I hope to make it back there this summer and shop at Thrift Town for my Thrifty Over 50 blog that I write for them. LOVE that Chico's jacket! You look great!

  7. You are a powerhouse of style…among other things. The jacket I wore a few days ago is of a similar material and I'm so glad I read your post because I never thought about wearing it with jeans. Yay! I love that idea. Happy New Year to you, Pam! 🙂

  9. PAM! I love your photo next to the powerline! teeheheheheh….POWER TO THE SHE! ABSOLUTELY! And you look wonderful, as always, but if we start to feel better physically from different choices, then that is wonderful. I can't exist without doing some kind of exercise. I am so glad you are getting into this routine because in the long run, it will give our bodies much more strength. YOUR JACKET! Oh, it is beautiful, and doesn't it feel good to be able to fit into something that may not have looked good before, but now does? Though I am generally small, I experience that with pants….yes, I have my body adjustments to make too! tehehehehe

Thank you precious Pam for visiting me, and yes, that is my home! Blessings to you for a great 2014!

  11. You look wonderful Pam! I would like to see more details of that jacket. Are the sleeves sheer? What an interesting and unusual piece. I am digging it. More pictures! I normally don't do what you did either–buy something in a smaller size–but I think you made the right choice and I love that you literally worked your way into that jacket. It looks great on you. I hope you have a great New Year's Eve! XO, Jill

  12. Hooray for your accomplishments, Pam! You do indeed look fabulous in your jacket and chic black pieces. Thanks for sharing with Visible Monday!

  13. Trim and toned! Honestly, many of us are *thinking* of hitting the gym in the new year. To be wearing a size smaller during the festive season is quite an achievement! Congrats on that. The jacket is certainly worth it….okay, now off to read that pie recipe, LOL. It looks delicious! Happy New Year Pam!
