Party Fashion: What I Wore!

Last week, we joined a few thousand people for my husband’s company Christmas party! It was held in the Alamodome and the entertainment was, ZZ Top!
It was a freezing, windy night in San Antonio and while I saw many bare- legged- ladies in dresses, I just could not join them.
Though my pictures are not the best for this outfit…here is what I wore…

A gold, shimmery tunic from CHICOS with leggings! However, due to cold, I wore my vintage black coat I found at Goodwill most of the evening.  I also picked up the necklace at Chicos.

The bracelet is a Simply Vera Wang from Kohls, I purchased in the last two years.

Of course, I had originally planned pictures along our beautiful RIVERWALK…so sparkly at Christmastime..but the weather would not allow.

Hopefully, I will have some better images for you later today.

Have a gorgeous, warm Sunday, everyone!

  1. Love the outfit – wish I could find/purchase it. Most of my wardrobe is made up of Chico's. Their clothing fits me best, but I can't always fork out the money for it. When I have an upcoming event I first take a look at Chico's. Wish I could win a sweepstakes from them! (Do they ever have one?)

Lovely, Pam. BTW, it's in the twenties up here. I'll come to TX for the heat wave! PSS I love the Riverwalk…

  2. Hi Cathy, I know …we are wimps down here when it comes to cold weather…and I do love the cold weather, because we have so little of it!! Make sure your sign up to be a Chico's Passport member..that will help you save and they are having great sales this time of year. I could not find this tunic online to link to, so it may be sold out, but I saw others online …one was $14.99!! I have seen them do sweepstakes, make sure you are on their email alerts. Stay warm and safe!

  3. That's what happens at Inaugural Balls after Presidential elections. People crowd into huge ballrooms that are January-chilly and end up keeping their coats on. The smart gals pick a dress with long sleeves and wear their long underwear underneath.

  4. I bought a lot of Chico pieces for summer; but for cold weather clothes I turn to Talbots and Lands End. Thank you for recommending Coldwater Creek. for blue jeans. I went there recently and although I had to try on several pairs, I had a great sales woman who kept bringing back something else to try on. I found the perfect pair and they were 40% off! I enjoy reading your blog. Wishing you a very Merry Christmas.
