Evening at the Museum…Worthy of Two Posts And Fashion Flash Monday!

Saturday evening we attended a fabulous, beautiful wedding reception.  The wedding, itself,  was in one of San Antonio’s oldest, historic churches downtown, TRAVIS PARK UNITED METHODIST CHURCH.  However, it was the reception at the MCNAY ART MUSEUM which pleased everyone in attendance.

Today’s post is about what I wore to the event…Wednesday’s post will include pictures of the reception, the museum, and fashions worn by others.  I hope you can join me for both.

Recently, I was the featured speaker at a local CHICO’S event and everyone in attendance received a special discount for the evening.  So, I went home with this lightweight, sparkly duster and gorgeous necklace!!  I felt very appropriate for the evening.

This vintage beaded bag was given to me by my mother-in-law years ago…and I really like it when I am going to be taking pictures because it hangs on my arm.

A clutch, often times, is difficult to navigate when I want to be madly snapping the camera! This bag was perfect!

My legs were just too white at this early stage of summer to go without nylons.  It was a fabulous evening…please join me on Wednesday for the rest of the story!

  1. You look very nice in this outfit. The necklace is gorgeous, and that vintage bag that your mother-in-law gave you is so special. Anything with beads and jewels, and I'm there. This looks like a lovely place for a wedding reception. The old historic churches are the most beautiful to me.

  2. What a great look! I love Chicco's clothes and have seen that duster in the catalog, it's great to see that it works in the real world and not just the pages of a catalog. And that necklace is fabulous. You look just beautiful, thanks for sharing. I look forward to reading Wednesdays post!

  3. Pam, Super cute outfit. I do love the duster and the bad is pretty cute and handy. I agree about snapping pics, so hard with a clutch sometimes. That sounds like a fun wedding. Love the necklace too! Hope you are enjoying the holiday weekend! x Kim

  7. I adore the vintage beaded bag. It's gorgeous paired with your statement necklace. This ensemble could not be more perfect for a reception in the church that you describe.

  8. Wow! What a necklace that is! I love it.
I never shop at Chico's and I am not sure why. We have one about 10 miles from me. I will have to take a look at their stuff one of these days.
    Hope all is well!
