From Chico’s…What Women Wanted to Know! And Thank You Barbara!
Here are some of the beautiful ladies I spent Wednesday evening with at CHICO’S in the Village of Stone Oak in San Antonio! It was such a great group of women.
We discussed a variety of things over the time I was there. But one topic surfaced again and again…
How do I dress to look thinner?
It seemed to be what was on the minds of the majority of women in the store.
So, because it was very important to these ladies, I thought I would write my column for MIDLIFE BOULEVARD next week on this topic…look for it on Tuesday!
Also, watch for a big announcement of a new
sponsor for over50feeling40…I am super excited!
Finally…..
I must join the crowd of thousands
who say THANK YOU BARBARA!
I decided in middle school to be a journalist. But, when BARBARA WALTERS joined The Today Show, she fueled that fire for me. I have studied her interviewing techniques for years and she is a part of who I am and what I teach other young journalists. I am forever grateful and inspired by her!

I suppose that is on the minds of most women! How to look slimmer!!
The jewelry is very pretty. Blessings, Catherine
Being a woman who normally wears classics, I had thought Chico's was too trendy for me. I have walked through the stores for years, and always am drawn immediately to the jewelry! Rarely have bought anything. I'm at a place where I find myself wanting to add some interest to my classics, and I have on my spring shopping list to go to Chico's for some things for my non-work wardrobe for starters, some cute tops, jewelry, etc. I'm looking forward to it. I also found it kind of cool that the women pictured here are not all 'late teens/early 20's' – which seems to be the way at my Chico's. I think women in the age groups pictured would be more helpful to older women (over 40!) as they looked for flattering items. Anyway, going in a couple weeks on a major shopping trip with my sister and will be giving Chico's another try! Karen
It was such a fun event and was great to hear you speak!
I'm a fan of their cute jewelry, too!
I for one love Chico;s they have evolved and know the fabulous over 40, 40, 60 woman!

Just want to add, you have inspired me to change things up Pam. I'm so anxious to get in that store and try on things that will get me out of my rut! It might be quite the discovery!
I'll definitely be watching!
Looks like fun. Can't wait to read your post on dressing to look thinner. Have a wonderful weekend!
Hi Pam! It's finally Friday and I have a moment to catch up. It looks like you had a wonderful day at Chico's and lots of exciting things on the horizon (not to mention summer off ;).
Happy Weekend!
