Statement Jewelry Azores Inspired…

I am really excited to
introduce to you a new, and incredibly talented, friend of mine, Emilie Smith.  She is a Swedish Haute Couture Bijouterie
designer who lives and is inspired by her home, São Miguel, Azores. When Emilie
first wrote to me, she said, “For the last 7 years I have been designing and
producing my own bijouterie. In 2006, I opened the largest commercial bead shop
in Europe… in Ponta Delgada. Then Portugal hit the depression, and basically
overnight my shop became my atelier. As you see on my work, I do have my
favorites, such as fresh water pearls, semi- precious stones, mother pearl,
murano and crystals. I like timeless things… My mother is the same, and all
through my life I have been able to use her things. I stand for quality,
service and exclusiveness. All my pieces are unique and hand made by me.”
Emilie designs unique,
statement jewelry for women over 35…though she hopes to expand her business
with pieces for all ages soon.  Each
piece is unique and she says is done very quickly and under the inspiration of so much beauty around her in the
Azores.  She ships all orders by “blue
registered mail” and she currently ships worldwide for free!!

She loves to spoil her
customers, so she always sends matching sterling silver earrings with all
necklaces as a little way to say THANK YOU!

Her website, LAVA DESIGN BY EMILIE SMITH, will officially launch on Wednesday and she wants all of us to know, she is working hard to bring some amazing work.
This week I am
featuring two of Emilie’s necklaces!  The
day I opened her box, I immediately wore this one to an event and spent the
evening answering
WHERE DID YOU GET
THAT??

Statement Jewelry is
in and I am pleased to introduce you to Emilie and the gorgeous statements she
is making!  Come back Wednesday to see another beautiful creation and a reminder of her official website launch!!
Happy Monday, everyone!
