Jenny Craig: Teaching Me to Run Short Races
When I saw this quote….I thought, THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT I AM DOING!” Seeing the JENNY CRAIG WEIGHT LOSS PROGRAM through has been a series of short races for me. This week, I lost four ounces…my total is now sixteen pounds and four ounces.
I was hoping for more, but I know what tripped me up….
The last two weeks, I have been in the kitchen. There is just something about autumn that makes me want to cook. So I have! I have cooked chili, Mexican food and pulled pork for my husband and college student-son. Of course, it is hard to resist once it is cooked.
But, I am counting my blessings, that I still lost small amounts of weight. I really want to run a better race this week…so the boys are on their own…no cooking this weekend!!
I will be sticking to the JENNY CRAIG FOOD PLAN. I even get a BREAKFAST BURRITO this week…gotta love it!
I love that quote and I love the idea of cooking fall meals. We're on vacation til mid October and will miss the beginning of fall here. It'll be hot in Sicily!
Love that quote, so true!!
You are doing so awesome!
I am a serious foodie and really admire what you are doing with Jenny Craig. After a long day at work, cooking is how I relax, I just love the process and creativity. I would probably fall into a catatonic state if i couldn't cook! In order to keep my weight under control, it requires daily exercise and small portions. But you LOST weight in spite of your autumn cooking, so be proud! You must feel wonderful!!
Pam I am so immensely proud of you to be able to keep up with this journey. I know everyone reaches plateaus and then it is double work! Bravo!

What a great quote! I lost .6 on WW this week but I am 9 pounds less than I was in July. Fiona at How to be Chic just wrote about the 1% Solution. The Tortoise and the Hare fable comes to mind.
Good luck with the week-end!
Love that quote.
Inspired to make chili this weekend.
🙂
The good news is that you did not gain! When you eat well for the most part, you can indulge once in a great while. Chili usually is not a bad option in itself. Its the cornbread, or the added condiments of sour cream and/or cheese that put it over the edge. go nuts with home made pico de gallo. Pulled pork – you need to be mindful of sugar in both the recipe and the barbecue sauce. Whole foods has a recipe on its web site where they substitute 1/2 cup of chopped dates ( a natural unrefined fruit source of sweetness) You can still have your favorites with some changes. Cheering you on Pam!
Perfect quote, Pam!
Good luck with it and a nice quote to link it to!x
It's all in the perspective isn't it? You are making some excellent progress, Pam, and you are so inspiring. I started the South Beach diet (phase one) almost 2 weeks ago. I'm very pleased with my 'kick-start' progress. I'm liking this program as it is quite similar to how I normally eat (without the fruit and wine though-for first two weeks only). I agree with Barabra, you have to indulge in life to make it more enjoyable. Happy weekend Pam!
xx
Lovely my dear Pam
I see you Monday on Share-in-Style.

I like that you are still losing some and not going up. That's awesome. Keep up the great work. AND 16 pounds is seriously INCREDIBLE!
