A Fashionable Week in Old San Antone…..

It was a fashionable week in San Antonio, Texas. Here I am meeting with a few of the wonderful members of the SAN ANTONIO FASHION SOCIETY.  We gathered for delectable delights from THAI TOPAZ IN CASTLE HILLS…try the homemade ice cream…so fresh and delicious.

I also met a couple of friends at Starbuck’s this week…love the unsweet, black ice tea…and one of the friends was up and coming fashion designer, CALLEY GONZALEZ…featured last year in British Vogue.  Calley has many exciting opportunities on the horizon…when she makes decisions, I will let you know!

I also received this announcement from another up and coming fashion designer from San Antonio, Marcus Andrews:

Local Designer Makes Mark at BET Awards
Marcus Andrews showcases his Sartorial Luxury collection for Hollywood’s elite
July 2, 2015 (San Antonio, TX) – The future’s bright for San Antonio menswear designer Marcus Andrews, but he’s outfitting everyone in custom suits and Italian-crafted shoes, not shades.  The local style connoisseur recently dressed celebrities for the BET Awards’ red carpet in Los Angeles on Sunday, including Aaron D. Spears of The Bold And The Beautiful and Being Mary Jane
Andrews also hosted a range of celebrities from musicians to actors for styling sessions during his trip to Los Angeles, including LeCrae, rapper Too Short, Floyd Mayweather, and actor Darrin Henson.  His Sartorial Luxury collection was featured in a similar manner just a few weeks prior at the Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas.
Above all, Andrews says the quality of his work is of the utmost importance.  “My clients deserve the best, no matter who they are,” he says.  “It’s been a privilege to meet some amazing people doing what I love, and I hope to continue growing our loyal following in San Antonio, Hollywood, and beyond.”
The Sartorial Luxury collection began as a way for Andrews to design for himself what he was unable to find in the market: high-quality, unique menswear.  The line initially began with Italian-made footwear, and slowly expanded into custom suits and accessories, including personalized pocket squares and cuff links.

Of course, I worked my little part time job at SOFT SURROUNDINGS.  I love helping select outfits for customers…such a joy!
But, on the morning of July 4th…I plan to be right here…drinking coffee and listening to the birds chirping.  Nature is wearing her fashionable best.
Also, I have a new post up on HUFFPO 50 POST, which includes more specifics from yesterday’s post on negative self talk while shopping…check it out.

Any big plans for the holiday weekend?  I hope you have a safe and joyful one whatever the plans include…Happy July 4th, everyone!

  1. Happy July 4th to you too! I thought I was going to get caught up on work, but apparently, my family is coming over because my mother is unhappy with the sight of my tomatoes… Yikes! – Jerusha, TheDisneyChef.com
