Hit Your Style Sweet Spot: The Casual Holiday Office Party
Welcome to a new collaboration with Jennifer of A Well Styled Life and Pam of over50feeling40. We desire for all of us…the grandmothers, the professionals, the retirees, the volunteers… the fabulous women over 50 …to look and feel our best each and every day. After years of blogging for this audience, we have heard from so many of you about your discouragement and despondency when you look in the mirror every morning. But, we both know just how transformative style can be and we hope to encourage you with specific, step-by-step guidelines right here every Sunday. We would like to see all of us empowered with strength, joy, and confidence!
Each Sunday, we will bring to you a scenario we face each week and show you our step-by-step process as we decide what to wear…you will see on our individual blogs how we handle the challenge and seek our personal sweet spot for the day!
This week we are styling for a casual office party. The majority of businesses will hold smaller functions rather than dinner and dancing. These stunning poinsettias were gifted to me by guests for Thanksgiving Dinner and I use them to remind you to take a hostess gift to parties in homes. It is such a nice touch…flowers like these are a great way to honor the hostess …or…consider…
One of these faux fur collars from SOFT SURROUNDINGS along with a bottle of wine or champagne.

Great booties! Some dressing rules are helpful and other's are just silly. I love the white for holiday! And the pin is perfect.
You look fabulous! Love the brooch…well worth the climb into the display window!
Pam you look just perfect for the holiday occasion, some sparkle going on and a classic look!

I love the white sweater, Pam! It looks fresh and bright.
I really like the white against the darks and the sequined top is divine!
Love that brooch against the white sweater….and I just love your blog and it's ever inspirational message, Pam. xo
I loved your sparkle as well, Jennifer! It is fun to bring it out this time of year!
It was worth asking her to get it! It makes me smile whenever I wear it…thanks for stopping by, Donna!
Thanks so much, Karena! I love wearing white this time of year…have a great week!
Thanks so much…just like snow…white works so well right now! Thanks for stopping by!
I really love the white and the green…thanks so much for stopping by…I appreciate the encouragement!
Thanks Lisa! The right accessory can make such a difference. Have a wonderful week ahead!
I ADORE you asked the sales woman to climb in the window and strip the mannequin.
Id so do that too.
I really wanted it, Carla! She did this with a great attitude. Sorry they had to shut down their stores…I always received excellent service there! Thanks for stopping by!

I was just talking with a girlfriend about how people don't wear pins any more. I love yours.

Thanks Patti! This new feature with Jennifer has been so much fun…I appreciate all the support!
There are some brooches, Carol, which make me feel old but this isn't one of them. I think it is Holiday-Chic! I have a few but do not wear them often. Thanks for stopping by!
Loving the sequin top, perfect for the holiday season.
The no white after Labor Day rule was always odd to me. Especially since I live in sunny California. I love a fluffy white sweater or winter-white dress for the holidays. I'm glad you ditched the frumpy thinking and embraced the beautiful woman you are. You look wonderful and ready to enjoy the spectacular events ahead.
What a lovely outfit! I really appreciate your blog's message, too.
I saw your post in the Monday Mingle linkup and followed you here.
This is my Monday Mingle post…

you look fabulous as always – it is certainly as much about the self confidence and attitude as it is about the style. A smile and a bit of sparkle go a long way!
Love the white and of course the brooch Pam! The party is ready for you, and I would love that fur with the champage, sweet!
Thanks for linking up with Turning Heads Tuesday!

Good on you to throw these silly rules out of the window. Look at you!! Looking great in white. Fortunately we never had that silly rule in the Netherlands. Never heard of.
