Perfect Time for Healthy Chili!

Can you hear the music from Rocky playing?? I am mentally running up those stairs and trying to get back into my good health routine post-sinus-surgery!  This healthy crockpot chili was perfect for my family this week…especially during the colder weather!

It is ridiculously easy!  First, on the bottom of the crockpot, put one chopped red onion, one one half cup of mixed, chopped yellow, red, and green peppers; and two large minced garlic cloves.

Next layer, one pound ground turkey (it can be frozen); two tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce; three healthy tablespoons of FIESTA CHILI SEASONING MIX FROM RIGHT HERE IN SAN ANTONIO!.

Next layers: (I use low sodium on canned products)
1 can of kidney beans
1 can of pinto beans
1 can of chopped green chilis (I like Hatch chilis, mild)
1 vacuum packed can of Southwestern Corn
2 cans of chopped tomatoes
Cook slow overnight; or while you work.
Colorful food and colorful time of year!  Scoop up a big bowl at sunset!
Make sure you return on Sunday for another edition of Hit Your Style Sweet Spot…Jennifer and I plan to go to an art museum!  See you then….
Happy Saturday!!

  1. Can you hear me saying, "Yum?" If so, you are close enough to bring me a big crock pot full of this! I'll leave the back door open for you. It looks fabulous!
