DISCOVERING MY OASIS IN THE DESERT
Yesterday, I left the comforts of home in Texas and flew to unknown territory in Nevada.
My entire trip to the second national BLOGGERS AT MIDLIFE conference is sponsored by the amazing talent at ARTFUL HOME, so each outfit has a super star selection from their designers. My gratitude for this opportunity is huge and I love representing such creative genius! Fashion for women over 50 at a high level of design.
I flew in one of my favorites, ARTIST SMOCK SHIRT BY PLANET.
It has been 35 years since I have been to Las Vegas and to say it has changed is an understatement! As we drove past the Eiffel Tower, Statue of Liberty, Sphinx, and glitz galore…I was transfixed on all the new development. While that can be fun, my first sigh of contentment came when I looked at the beautiful room view from
JW MARRIOTT RESORT AND SPA. Truly a breathtaking oasis!
I could live in this room so easily…the beds, closet, room service, spa tub, shower…all top level…I need to snap out of it and prepare for a working conference!
I met up with my blogging BFF, JENNIFER CONNOLLY OF A WELL STYLED LIFE and later we sat at the pub for lunch and blog talk.

What I have learned today is to look for the flowing springs in the desert…my life after 60 is so much better than I ever thought it would be. I am open to more…experiencing more…discovering creativity…and finding one surprising oasis after another.

I have to laugh because when you say Vegas—I think lights & craziness. What you're showing is pure relaxing! I'm a little sad I'm not there! Is it open for everyone—I'd love to plan to come next year if possible?

It was wonderful meeting you…I already follow you and Jennifer so I felt as though I knew…I am from Houston originally and my uncle lives in New Braunfel. San Antonio is one of my favorite places in the world. I always though I would raise my children in the Hill country, but life had another plan! Love to you and safe travels!!
