Comfort Fashion Over 50 for fun Grandmother Style

My grandsons are in town!  In fact, their family is living with us for about one month.  At ages 3 and 20 months, they are one active bunch of boys…and we have already been playing dinosaurs, tickle games, chase, and cars all over the house.

I want to look youthful and fun when I take them out, but flexible comfort is key.  So for me, I go for leggings and a topper in knit. I am more mobile in a legging than jeans…though jeans are great for getting in the dirt!  We have many plans while they are here, so my causal wear will get a workout!  This reversible knit poncho is one I picked up last winter in Stein Mart and I really like it…perfect for when the weather is cool, but not really cold.

But, for now, there is a firetruck on the floor calling my name!

Have a joyous day! Keep Smiling!

  1. I'm a grandma too and know what you mean about looking youthful but still being comfortable. I've been told a lot that I don't look like a Grandma, I guess that means I got the balance right. I feel there is a fine line between comfortable and sloppy. I love what you picked it's perfect for a fall weekend.

  2. there's nothing more comfortable than leggings. There is a plus for jeans, though–pockets. not just for the cell phone but that rogue piece of lego. Wish someone would design leggings with a deep pocket.
enjoy your grandkids. what a delightful age they are.

  3. How fun!!! You're certainly proof that being comfy doesn't mean being sloppy. Enjoy your family time, they grow up so quickly xo
