Clorox 2 Keeps Past Favorites Bright + A Giveaway

A Sponsored Post

I have known for a long time that the best way to care for colorful clothes I love is with CLOROX 2 STAIN REMOVER & COLOR BOOSTER.  I have garments in my closet which are 30 years old but still look practically new because I use this product every time I wash them.

This is my “coat of many colors” and I love it.   The fabric is a light wool.  I wash it on the delicate cycle with Clorox 2® Stain Remover & Color Booster in order to keep these colors vibrant and alive.  I have owned it for a couple of years, and plan to own it for many, many more.  I also have worn it to memorable events since I reinvented my career and wearing the jacket gives me confidence in that career.   Dry cleaning is expensive and there is no reason for some high quality garments to be dry cleaned with great product on the market because it keeps our garments looking like new.  CLOROX 2 STAIN REMOVER & COLOR BOOSTER keeps fading and stains at bay, and a garment such as this one needs to stay bright.

I also like the fact that if I notice a stain after washing once, I can pre-treat the stain and it will usually come out in the second wash.  Pre-treat a stain gives the best results before washing it.  It will remove four times more stains than detergent alone, and work on the tough stains like blueberries, mustard, and, (the one I do often), coffee.  I use it with my High-Efficiency washing machine.

In my HE machine I just fill to the first fill line and add product with my favorite detergent.  Sometimes with my coffee stains I will need to pre-treat and soak it for up to 30 minutes before washing.  But, then it works…even a colorful garment like my jacket will show stains and need to have some extra love.

  1. I have a pair of lounge pants that I love. They were given to me as a gift by someone special. When I am feeling down and I am home for the rest of the day I will put these on. They mean comfort and that there is someone there for me.

  2. I have a sundress I made, it is lined and white edging, and a matching hat! I like wearing it to picnics and fun things where you get messy. Good thing it is cotton, but can be hard to clean and not fade the material.

  3. I have a sweatshirt that my husband bought me on our honeymoon ages ago. I wear it to bed all the time and while it has seen better days, I can't imagine ever throwing it away.

  4. Never tried this product but will certainly give it a try now. Your coat of many colors is stunning. I have a few pieces of clothing and a coverlet made by a loved one that I give special care to.

  5. I have a Lands End coat that my mom bought for me SO many years ago. We bought the same in different colors the swapped. It always makes me think of her.

  6. A garment (or garments) that means a lot to me is a dress I made for my daughters – twin daughters, so there were two dresses. They were flowergirls in my best friend's wedding and I made my very first French Hand Sewing by machine creations. I used imported fabric and lace they turned out beautiful.
