Monthly Style Tip for Fashion Over 50
It’s the first Friday of February and the time when I give you, women over 50, one big monthly style tip to think over. Let’s face it, February is really not that exciting of a month style wise…it is often very cold at a time when many are tired of cold. But, consider this…
It is the perfect time to evaluate your spring wardrobe for two reasons:
1. It gives you hope that spring is on the horizon.
2. You will be able to take advantage of the first new spring items and add them to your wardrobe right away.
That is exactly what I did before I looked over the affordable spring collection at CHADWICKS OF BOSTON. I wear many sleeveless tanks in the warmer weather and I have quite a collection. But I needed this coral color. I also needed a linen jacket specifically in a tan shade for my wardrobe…love the feel of this linen…very soft. Chadwicks of Boston is a great place for the essentials and for great fit. Both of these garments are offered in longer lengths and in plus sizes…it is so much easier to shop when options like these are offered for me. Though I do not need petites, they carry this variety as well.
Since I predominantly wear flats, I decided it would be fun to have spring colors and this beautiful shade called sour apple will work for several outfits.
I really hate to discover I have a wardrobe need only to go online after it has sold out….so evaluate the spring clothes now, and go see what Chadwicks of Boston is offering in the early spring collection. They have so many affordable designs….sometimes paying more is not necessary.
What would you like to add to your wardrobe in spring?

That's a lovely "springy" outfit, Pam! I love the shoes you chose with it!
Looking fabulous is a must and thank you for sharing fashion tips to remind us that to update our wardrobe to be ready for spring!
I like the coral color of the top! Perfect for these months when we're craving some spring weather! I have never made friends with linen due to the ever present wrinkles, but know a lot of women who are not bothered by that. This is definitely a good time to check the spring wardrobe for gaps. It has the added benefit of giving us hope that spring will come. We're still freezing in Ohio.
Thanks Andrea…very comfortable shoes and the colors are fun!
Sometimes it helps to shine a little warmth into our cold to plan for spring early!
I am glad I checked early this year…Last year I had some difficulty finding this perfect shade of coral because I started looking too late. This is a great top and I like this linen…it doesn't wrinkle as much as some garments I have owned. I really like the fit of the Chadwicks of Boston jackets…many size options. Thanks Karen!
The coral colour is very flattering on you, Pam.
Today on Following Augustine I introduced several of my favourite fashion bloggers for women of a certain age. You, of course, were one of them. I hope you'll drop by and take a look. You can find the post here: https://edebock.wordpress.com/2017/02/03/favourite-fashion-blogs-for-women-of-a-certain-age/.
I was told once that coral is a universal color which looks good on all women…it is a great color to add to your wardrobe. This is so kind of you Elaine to write this post…such an honor to be included and see you here often. Happy Weekend!
That peachy coral is lovely on you, Pam! Cute look! And yes, bring on the spring!
Thanks for linking up with Fun Fashion Friday. Have a fun-day Sunday!
