Fashion Over 50: Details Designed to Slim

I love a well designed garment!  This jacket is much like the tunic I wore earlier in the week…the design details do amazing things to flatter the figure.  This is a look for women over 50 which is perfect for spring and summer wear.

There are three reasons this jacket is so great!  First, the open neck elongates the entire look…which is very slimming.

Next, the pockets are designed in just the right place and at just the right angle to give a slimming appearance.

Finally, the length which hits at the bottom of the hip is a flattering length which allows for a longer leg line and gives a slimming effect. And, there is another zipper up the back which flatters you coming and going!  Remember, the difference is in the details.  Look for them when shopping!

Here is the tunic from Sunday with the same type of slimming details!   TUNIC WITH DETAILS POST.  In the outfit above I am wearing the Zenegy Jacket with my Soft Surroundings White Metro Denim Leggings…Find all this info in this slide show:

  1. I think I said this to you when we met in person but you remind me so much of my sister. She to possesses that phenomenal sartorial cents and dresses exactly right for her body type. If for some reason typing body type that seems like a negative thing 🙂 I do not mean it like that. I tend to purchase things which make me look even shorter than I already a.m. I need some body type tips 🙂

  2. Once I learned to dress my body type, then confidence really came. I could not begin to think of a healthy eating plan until I got out of my doldrums and accepted where I was…which meant accepting all of me where I and dressing in flattering styles. I bet your sister is awesome like you! It makes a huge difference to understand how to flatter our shapes with clothing decisions. Thanks Carla!

  3. Another great look on you! It's finally warming up here in Canada, so I'll soon be bringing out my white crop pants and you've inspired me to try a similar look with a recently purchased navy shirt/jacket.
