Fashion Over 50: Dresses Bring Relief from Summer Heat

How is everyone doing now that the dog days of summer are going on and on and on??  I know down here in South Texas it is boiling …and humidity just adds to the stress.  This is a knit dress I purchased several year ago at Marshalls.  I really like it alot…it is so easy to pull on for work or even running errands.  And though not really summery in appearance, it keeps me very cool…even with the knit cardigan.

Because it is simple and neutral, I can actually do a lot with this dress with accessories and outer garments.

I am still in search of another like it in a different color.

But, I did find some great options below.  They will at least keep air flowing for your legs!!

Do you have any simple dresses in your wardrobe which will be easy for almost any occasion?

!function(d,s,id){var e, p = /^http:/.test(d.location) ? ‘http’ : ‘https’;if(!d.getElementById(id)) {e = d.createElement(s); = id;e.src = p + ‘://’ + ‘’ + ‘/js/boutique.js’;d.body.appendChild(e);}if(typeof window.__boutique === ‘object’) if(d.readyState === ‘complete’) {window.__boutique.init();}}(document, ‘script’, ’boutique-script’);

  1. I love everything about your outfit today, Pam! That dress is wonderful — the color, the flow, the fit — really sharp. You nailed it today for sure!!

  2. Isn't it labeled Gestalt when the sum total of the parts is greater than the component parts? From head to toe, you look great!

  3. Thanks Jodie…this dress is actually a taupe color with a little more brown in it than grey…I love brown and black together. Thanks so much for stopping by.
