Fashion Over 50: Add A Little Spice

As you can see, I like a little spice in my over 50 fashion and there is no better spice than cayenne pepper shoes!  I love these suede flats by Cynthia Rowley, I recently discovered at Marshalls.  This is the way to spice up a neutral outfit…and the color is picked up in this infinity scarf I found at Nordstrom on a trip to Chicaogo a few years ago.  This is a weekend look for cooler weather, I will be wearing, hopefully soon.  The navy sweater coat was another purchase from the Talbot’s Red Hangar sale I hit at the end of summer…incredible quality for amazing prices.  Underneather, is a gray knit top by Planet and sold at Artful Home, and the denim is another pair of Metro Leggings by Soft Surroundings.  I have the pants and sweater coats with my red shoes selections below. But, it is the spice which makes all the difference. I also just started to add a dash of cayenne into my smoothie after workout on the week days.  It is suppose to help control hunger and it does add a little kick to the smoothie.  I am completely in love with the red shoes and details overall in this simple style.  I highly recommend a red, casual flat to pop a little fun in your style.  I have selected some for your consideration below.

How do you feel about red shoes?  It does take courage to wear, but they are so much fun….

Keep Smiling, everyone!

  1. I love red shoes, and yours are perfect! The pointy toe is great and something I always look for in shoes so my feet don’t look stubby! : ) So many pretty choices pictured here! I have a pair of red heels, but will have to pick up some flats (I really like the color of your shoes, the cayenne). Red shoes are just fun and do add a pop of color to more neutral/solid outfits! Just great shoes you are wearing!! If cayenne pepper curbs the appetite, I’ll have to try that too! I do love spicy foods!

  2. The minute I saw these shoes I knew they for me…I was so excited they had my size. I know you will find a perfect pair.

  3. I love this shoes, I saw them and they didn’t have my size so I went to another store…never found them in my size…I also love Marshalls and TJMaxx…

  4. I love the way your red shoes pick up the red in the scarf! Those ‘pops’ of cayenne make your outfit so fabulous! Another winner, Pam!

  5. Well thank you, Beth I was so excited when I brought this scarf home from Chicago and I have loved it ever since…and probably wear it too much. I appreciate the kind words.

  6. I love the way the Soft Surroundings leggings look on you. We are built alike, would you share your size in these pants and your height?

    Thank you

  7. I love those red shoes. I am always looking for shoes that look good but are comfortable also. I have just started receiving Soft Surroundings catalogs and one opened in the mall but haven’t bought from them yet.
