Fashion Over 50: Style Sweet Spot for a Fall Transition

Happy Labor Day Weekend, Everyone!  You have met Susan  before…she is a marketing representative for our magazines, and when I saw this outfit last week, I thought she would be perfect to demonstrate a look which transitions easily from summer to fall.I love her color scheme…the way she tied her animal print scarf…and the gold metallic wedges to top off the look.  The most summery part of her style is the coral color on her toes…the rest easily works for an autumn style as well.  Susan is petite and is very confident with her clothing choices.  She is not afraid to be bold with her style or to be noticed when she enters the room.  So far, she is always accompanied with a big smile.  I thought this outfit definitely hit the sweet spot.

When do you begin to transition your wardrobe toward autumn?  Let us kmow….and make sure to check out the sales below….

  1. Susan looks great! Her pants are such a perfect transitional color that carries through the colder days. Love the scarf and the tunic top. This look does say fall!! I switched over my clothes this weekend, adding in some sweaters and different scarves in seasonal colors. Still have to do the shoes. September seems a good time to do this. Fall is in the air here already.

  2. Would love to know the brand of this wonderful White Tunic…Looks fabulous! Her scarf definitely says “autumn”!

  3. This outfit certainly reminds me of fall. I could see it moving into chilly temps by just trading out the wedge for a short boot. I really love her scarf.

  4. I wanted to do it this weekend, but family showed up so it will have to wait awhile. I get excited when it is time to pull out some seasonal thing packed away. Thanks Karen!

  5. I do not know the brand, Suzanne. But I will ask Susan and post it next week for you…sorry I neglected to ask her.

  6. I loved it too, Becky. That’s why I wanted to share it. It would look great with a short boot. Thanks for stopping by.

  7. That is a fantastic transition look because I love that Susan still is wearing sandals with bare geef. I hate to wear socks and closed shoes and wear nothing myself as long as possible!

  8. Hi Suzanne, Susan believes she found it at Stein Mart, though she has owned it for some time. The pants and the scarf are Chicos! She wants eveyone to know she is a bargain shopper and always heads to the sale racks.
