News for Women of a Certain Age

Hey Ladies,  today is the day when we grab a cup of steaming coffee or tea, visualize sitting in a fun little cafe, and read news which may be of interest to us.  So enjoy, and please comment on any of these stories below!A very interesting read for those of us still in the workplace….THE CASE FOR REBRANDING THE OLDER WORKER. Favorite quote from the article, “As they say, wisdom comes with age. These days, spending power, chicness and innovation do, too.”She hasn’t been Pollyanna for a long, long time, but Hayley Mills is till going strong.  Let’s catch up with someone who saw many of us through our youth…read about Hayley Here!

While it is about a serious topic, I loved the humor behind the ETrade Superbowl Commercial and would like to SHARE THE VIDEO WITH YOU HERE!

Apparently, there was a little skincare controversy going on in the last week.  Catch up with a rebuttal to the “no products work” side and see In Defense of Skincare HERE FROM THE TODAY SHOW.

I found this to be an important health article from AARP.  There are certain signs we must all pay attention to.

KEEP SMILING, EVERYONE!

  1. Reading about Hayley Mills just made my day! I loved her then, love her now! Seeing her I am swept back to my 13 year old self! I agree with Jennifer, have to pick and choose, but I couldn’t do with out good skin care. When I was that young 13 year old girl my mother handed me a jar of Ponds cold cream and said, you may never listen to another thing I tell you, but listen to this, never go to bed without cleaning your face and putting face cream on! I listened and am grateful to have a Mom who took care of her skin and passed it on to me!

  2. That’s how I feel about Hayley Mills, Rita…I will always be a fan…I think I know every word of Pollyanna! Thanks!

  3. I really enjoyed reading all the articles especially the health article about signs we should take notice of.I knew most of them but the I didn’t know about the stabbing pain in the back. The article about skincare was interesting too and I think skincare is essential for skin maintenance and you have to find what suits you.I thank my mother for taking me to a beauty counter in my teens to get me started on a skincare regime.
    PS I loved that ad.

  4. I have something new to look forward to every week. I love these news posts. they are always enjoyable and thought provoking. Thanks for keeping us all “in the know”.

  5. I would have loved reading about Hayley Mills but the link didn’t go anywhere and neither did the Superbowl commercial. I’ll try again later. I love Hayley Mills though, she has always been a favorite. I saw her in Midsommer Murders on NetFlex recently. She is still a good actress.

  6. Sorry about the link issue, Sue…I will try to figure it out. Technology often doesn’t go as planned, but thanks so much for letting me know.
