It’s Even Sweater Weather In the South!

I know that when it is sweater weather in South Texas, the rest of you are most likely freezing!  But, we have entered into some cold throughout the state.  I love wearing a soft, cozy, huddle- by- the- fire sweater.  I am always sad to put them away in the spring.

This year fall seems to be flying by more than ever before.  It seems like only a few days ago the weather was hot…just a couple of days ago my grandchildren were trick or treating…and next week is Thanksgiving!  What in the world is going on?  Christmas movies began around Halloween and the actual event will be here before we know it.  I am stressed thinking of all that must be done and I usually like a little time to enjoy it! Oh well, at least I can wrap myself up in my sweaters while I work on everything. We must all remember to take time to enjoy as we feel the rush or pressure pressing in.

Now, my outfit today is composed of pieces from my closet…a JJill sweater tunic (the line in the front of the sweater is a hand warming area), my Soft Surroundings Metro Leggings, Lucky Brand boots from Soft Surroundings, and a wonderful necklace actually made by a designer in South Texas and found at a fair years ago.  I have placed some similar items in the slide show below.

Stay warm, everyone.  Anyone else feel like this fall is going really, really fast??

KEEP SMILING!!

  1. Fall IS going really fast. For some reason that I won’t question, I am loving the cold this year. Your sweater is beautiful, there is that color again! They are opening a J Jill tomorrow in a shopping district not far from where I live! Finally!!! That brand will be the backbone of my retirement wardrobe and I can’t wait to get in there! I love how your sweater has the pocket in front, and those boots!!! Oh my those are wonderful!! There certainly is much to do in preparation for the holidays. I’m planning a very low key Thanksgiving since I’ll be working the day before and the day after, and then, again for some reason that I won’t question, I’m really excited about decorating the house for Christmas. I’ve been listening to Christmas music on my way to work and going home and am really in the mood. My retirement date is December 21, maybe that has something to do with it? Enjoy your chilly temps and bundling up! Cozying up by the fire sounds fantastic!!

  2. I love your cozy look today Pam. Those boots look super comfy too. I love sweater weather. We are just starting to get ours now too. I haven’t don’t anything for the holidays…better start soon!

  3. I love sweater weather, too. Some years, I haven’t worn a sweater until December, but this year, we went from hot to cold in about a week. I have already worn several sweaters. Your look today is just perfect for running errands as well as cozying up by the fire.

  4. You’re wearing one of my favorite outfits, a cozy sweater and comfy jeans. I have a similar sweater, all cotton, bought from J.C. Penney, on sale, years ago, for $10. It’s my go-to sweater when it’s cold. Mine is a crew neck, I can’t wear a turtleneck here SoCal/LA area. It’s much better to add a scarf. Yes, fall is moving too quickly, and Thanksgiving is here next week! This year, I seem to be more prepared for Christmas than Thanksgiving!

  5. I like this look on you. I usually go for stronger colour but the winter whites are drawing me in a little more than they used to. I like the versatility of adding any colour to them.
