How to Style Jewel-Toned Blue Pants: Look #1

Happy Monday!  Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend.  This week I am showing you how I style a jewel-toned shade of blue pant.  This is one of the EILEEN FISHER slim fit, crepe, ankle pants.  I own seven different colors in the same pant! I guess you can say I like it.   This shade is called Dark Jewel, and I love it.  Traditionally, neutrals will pair with anything, but this would not be considered a neutral by some.  But, I treat it like a neutral with some success and I really, really love the color.

I tried it with leopard on a whim and really like it.  It brightens this Chico’s leopard jacket and adds a bit of a surprise to the traditional black, browns, and reds.  For this outfit, I have picked up the blue in a long, turquoise necklace I have owned for awhile.  On my feet, I have on my copper ballet flats and also love to wear the pants with leopard print shoes.   I can wear something like this almost anywhere.  The top underneath is a cream flowy tunic top.   I am going to show you three outfits this week, but I have worn these pants for many types of looks since I purchsed them.

Remember, a great place to experiment with new color is in the dressing room.  I have also seen this shade of blue in spring collections.  I know I plan to wear it all year long.

What is your favorite shade of blue to wear in a pant, or do you even wear blue?  There will be two more outfits this week so please come back!  I have these and more in the slideshow below.  Find your own style which helps you to

KEEP SMILING!

  1. I like this shade of blue. I’d like to have a dress this color. The only blue I wear in pants (currently) is navy. I like it with the leopard, and how you tied it all together with your shoe choice. Looking forward to seeing how you style the pants this week!

  2. The outfit looks great! I would not have thought to wear that shade with leopard, but it works. Good for you for thinking outside the box!

  3. I love jewel tones (especially blues) and love leopard. You look great, Pam! I clicked through the options you always post at the end, came across a jacket and blouse, both from Chico’s, which I ordered at fabulous sale prices! Thank you for the tips and referrals.
