How I Wear Red with Prints and Silver

Welcome back to my week of wearing red!  Bill Blass once said, “Red is the ultimate cure for sadness.”  I have to admit that there is something about wearing red that does put a smile on my face.

You can do so much with a red cardigan (like this one I got at Macys last year)…and I really like it with this black and white shell and my knit pants from JJill.  Add a few silver accessories and really you just have to smile about it!  I have a few similar shells that over the years I have picked up from Marshalls just to wear under jackets and cardigans.   The necklace came from Chico’s…I think the shoes were originally discovered at Ross…and the bracelet is so old I do not remember where I found it!!  My recent closet clean was perfect timing to remind me of pieces I had not worn in a while!

After I styled this outfit, I turned around and wore it to work…

Now, for a couple more ideas for Valentine’s or just to gift yourself for fun…..

Enchante is the latest fragrance from Soft Surroundings and I love it.  A new favorite in this easy to carry roller ball dispenser.

Also, from Soft Surroundings is this fabulous leopard print calf hair cuff…love it with red for just a touch of leopard.

Hope this is giving you some ideas for wearing red and for hints to drop for Valentine’s Day…or galentine’s day…or whatever gift giving event you have on the horizon!    Thanks so much for dropping by….and please

KEEP SMILING, EVERYONE!!

  1. This is such a great look! Red is such an amazing color and really does brighten up a dreary day! I love how you combined red with black, white and silver. This is my favorite of the red feature!

  2. Oh, I would wear this outfit in a heartbeat. I am a silver lover not gold. The pattern of the blouse really pulls this together. Love it.

  3. I too, love this outfit, Pamela; each choice is excellent and the v-at the neckline is good…(for Valentine’s Day, you might lower that zipper a few inches..!?) ((; )

  4. I love this on you—very flattering! And since it’s comprised of all of my “best” colors, I would wear it in a heartbeat!

  5. Sorry…not me! My confident style isn’t in low cut areas! But I appreciate you being here and making the suggestion!

  6. Pamela,
I know from past posts that you have trouble with finding shoes for your toe problems. I know lots of us at this age have bunions. Any advice on buying and finding brands that will work without going through surgery. I especially have trouble with winter shoes. Thanks

  7. Hi Debbie, My feet are not getting any better. I still have my best luck with Rockport shoes and Born shoes. I have to make sure there is a large toe box, and since I usually go a size larger I sometimes have to wear inserts so the shoes will fit better. It is a battle. I wish you luck with yours. So far, all of my Rockport shoes are doing great.
