It’s Saturday!  Yay! and time for Would You Wear It with me and my friend, Jennifer.  On this day, we show you mannequins we have found around our towns and you tell us if you would wear it or not.  Please keep your comments constructive in order to help others….tell us in detail why or why not it works for you. Then go to A Well Styled Life and let her know what you think of that mannequin.

So, tell us, ladies………..WOULD YOU WEAR IT??

I hope you spend time with the items below (lots of skirts!)…………………..and always

KEEP SMILING!

  1. I would not wear it. The Color is off, not beige, not blush. The fabric is too clingy and would not work on my body type – looks like it would show everything.

  2. I’d wear it to bed…nowhere else!
Color? Too pale for an older me….style? Too revealing of bumps and limps! Length is nice and I like a wrap in other colors!

  3. I might wear the dress with few changes — the color – too pale for me. Navy or a grey blue would be nice. I would prefer straighter sleeves with less bulk. I like the waistline, and the gathered details. I don’t like the seam through the middle of the skirt. No need for it.

  4. Well I like the dress ( ME, who never wears dresses). I think it would be quite becoming on my body type, with perhaps just a teeny shorter hemline. I’m only 5 4″ tall.
My only concern is the color. I’m blonde, fairly pale complexion and think the color better enhances a deeper complexion…ruddy or olive, maybe. Brown skin would look particularly beautiful. I’d like the dress in Navy?

  5. This would not look good on me. The fabric looks too clingy & the color would wash me out.

  6. I would wear the style, but not the color. I like the detail on the skirt. I’d prefer straighter sleeves, but that wouldn’t be a deal breaker for me. The color shown takes the dress dangerously close to matronly. If it was a richer color, or black, I’d wear it.

  7. I would not wear this bc of the color, fabric and cut. This is just not me. It looks like a style from a looooong time ago.

  8. Love the elongated v-neck and the cinched in waist. I would wear it in a more vibrant colour.

  9. This dress would look nice on a tall, slim brunette. Having said that, I’m a short, pear-shaped, redhead. ha

  10. I would not wear it. Everything is wrong for me. Wrong color, wrong cut, wrong fabric. It looks like a see through. No way for me.

  11. It’s a gorgeous dress. The waistband appears to rise higher in the front which might not flatter me, but then again it might. I’d certainly try it on to see. The color could be elegant and stunning on a women with similar tones in her skin.

  12. Wrap dresses don’t hang right with my small shoulders, and this dress is the color of wallpaper paste. I wouldn’t wear it.

  13. I like the design and might wear it in a different color. I feel that fabric and color would show everything under it, along with tummy emphasis which I do t need!

  14. I can’t decide if it is the mannequin or the fabric. I don’t like the drape. The color is bad for my fair skin and silver hair, I would disappear. So a big no I would not wear!

  15. It’s really pretty snd very elegant–but not for me. The color doesn’t work with my redhead-complexion at all. I’m fairly long-waisted, and defined waists never sit right on me.

  16. I love this dress, and would wear it immediately in a different color. This color unfortunately washes me out. I love the drape of the front, the restrained but flattering gathers over the tummy area (it looks like it would hide without adding a lot of bulk), and the luxe look of the fabric. The length is perfect for me. The bias sections of the skirt and the pleats at the wrist look elegant. Where did you find it, and does it come in any other colors?

  17. I like the shape of the dress, but the colour is blah and the fabric looks cheap. So I would not wear this.

  18. I like the wrap look and neckline but I’m not sure of the waist treatment. The color wouldn’t work for me. I prefer stronger colors or black. I don’t care for the sleeve. A slim sleeve would be a better look. The fabric looks thin and I am picky about fabric quality so no I wouldn’t wear this dress!

  19. No, the fabric looks too thin. This style no longer works for me with the waist tie. I now prefer swing dresses. Cute skirt selection on the slideshow. I love A-line skirts!

  20. I would prefer more color, I think I would be washed out. If I was about 60 pounds thinner it might work. As it is, the bulk of my weight is in my middle front and that’s also where the bulk of fabric is. Might be cute on someone tall and thin.

  21. I don’t much care for the dress. The color is not too exciting, and the dress seems a little flimsy in appearance. I don’t care for the cut on the skirt of the dress, and the neckline seems to be cut too deeply. I tried, but I can’t really picture this particular dress being flattering on anyone (and especially me! lol).

  22. I wore something similar when I was in my 20s but I’m not sure the color would work for older me. The style is simple and is something that would flatter my figure but I think I would need to try it on to see if the color is still good.

  23. I would not wear it. All those gathers in front of my tummy would be most unflattering to me.

  24. No tganks to your mannequin, Pam. Been there. Done that in my late two or three years before my wedding. Same style of clingy fabric with a vee neck and a bit darker with subtle polka dots. Wouldn’t be able to get away with it now: too clingy on my more matronly shape and too pale for my greying hair. Mine had pockets and I loved the dress then.

  25. The style is fabulous. The color, not so much.

This dress would look great in grey or navy or black. This color is very unforgiving on most everyone!

  26. The colour is nondescript and the style seems a bit old fashioned. I would feel frumpy in it.

  27. It doesn’t look or hang like a quality garment, but maybe in person it is. Since it matches my skin tone, I’m afraid I would look naked in it.

  28. That dress is beautiful, and if I needed a dress for an occasion, I would definitely wear it.

  29. Well, I’m in the minority, but I love it. This is exactly the type of dress that I like. As for the color, I would have to try on to make sure it doesn’t wash me out. Would you mind telling us where you found this?

  30. I would wear it and actually it would be perfect for an upcoming event I have. The color is a very good shade for me, and it’s nice to see softer shades available. The v neck is flattering and I think the fabric would feel wonderful.

  31. I don’t think this color would be flattering to me but I like the style of the dress. V neckline might be a bit low for church or day wear but would probably work (filled in with a necklace?) for evening

  32. Nope – bad color for me.

It reminds me of the dress that the Duchesses of Cambridge wore to her sister Pipa’s wedding. I read commentary that noted the dress was perfect for “Kate” to wear because it was perfectly nondescript, and allowed her sister to be the star for the day.

On second thought, maybe it would be a good “Mother of the Groom” dress.

  33. Looks like a bad throwback to the stuff that was around in the eighties. Not for me. The fabric looks like it belongs on a nightgown, or underwear. And the color is BLAH. Nope, not for me.
