Would You Wear It with Pam & Jennifer

Happy Saturday, everyone! You may be like me and super happy for the weekend, and around here it is WOULD YOU WEAR IT SATURDAY with me and my friend, Jennifer. We find mannequins around town that we wonder what you will think about the styles so we ask you to tell us if you would or would not wear it and why.  Please keep your comments personal…why would it work or not work for YOU.  These comments are a huge part of the post and read by most who participate. Keep it fun and not nasty, please.

The skirt on this display is knit in case anyone wonders, and tell us what type of shoes you would style with this outfit…even if you don’t like it.  If you were the display designer, what shoes would be on her feet??  Now, ladies, look my display over above and tell us…………………………………………………..

WOULD YOU WEAR IT??

Make sure you go over to A WELL STYLED LIFE and tell Jennifer what you think of her selection. We are getting closer and closer to actual FALL, so enjoy the fall selections in the slideshows!

KEEP SMILING!

  1. I would wear this just as it is. I like the styles and colors. I would wear tall tan suede boots and a really great cross body purse. Maybe add a wide slouch belt.

  2. A suede or a leopard sneaker for a casual look. Or a low heel bootie in the same design. Definitely like an oversized turtleneck with this look vs the mock neck on model. This would also work with a big tweedy or plaid overcoat in winter.

  3. I do like boxy sweaters, but the neckline here is all wrong. A scoop or v-neck and I’d try it on. I think the skirt is very unattractive and definitely would not wear that. The sweater with a different neckline, I’d wear with jeans and boots, or jeans and flats. The dress in the back doesn’t appeal to me either, because I don’t like self belts, the button placement doesn’t work for me and that’s a very difficult color to wear. Big “no” on that one! Too bad about the neckline on the boxy sweater.

  4. The fall colours just don’t work for me. The sweater is too boxy for my shape as well, I would look boxy as well. I need a bit of definition at the waist. The skirt is nice if it was a deep teal I would certainly try it. As for the footwear, I would wear a great pair of suede boots or maybe snakeskin booties.

  5. I think the outfit is simple and classy. I don’t have the need for a skirt, but I think an animal print flat, or bootie, would add a touch of interest. I would definitely wear the sweater and get a lot of use out of it. Easy to dress up or down.

  6. The boxiness of the sweater just bothers me somehow. with this skirt. The color of the sweater is bothering me too. I think it is too “cool” for the “warmness” of the skirt, There is an off white turtleneck in your slide show that I think would be great with the skirt, which I do like. I think
    I would go with boots ? or ? .

  7. This outfit needs black suede pointed toe booties / boots. I would wear the skirt but the sweater is too droopy for me. I like a more fitted sweater in black or navy with a nice muted scarf.

  8. I like the overall look of this outfit. The colors don’t work for me. Since it is two solids I’d style it with a patterned sneaker or booties.

  9. I do not like nor can I wear any of these colors. Also, the shapes would not be flattering on me. I would pair tan booties with this outfit.

  10. Karen – I’m with you on the sweater. I like the boxy chunky knit but the neckline isn’t good.
The skirt and the dress aren’t appealing to me.

  11. I’d wear the sweater over skinny jeans with comfy suede flats. The skirt is not a good shape for my hips. If I had curvier hips it work work for me but then the color would be unflattering. So no on the skirt.

  12. I would put some higher block heeled loafers with that outfit. I not NOT like the sweater color so I would never wear it….but I would wear in in a different color. And I would pair it with jeans.

  13. As a casual street-style ensemble a definite yes, though would prefer a full turtle or cowl neck than a mock one in the sweater. Also a two-thumbs up for the cross-body bag as am downsizing all my handbags in scale plus opting for hands-free ones (or those with wrist straps) . As for foot wear; I’d be wearing a mid calf boot or a stylish loafer coordinated with the purse in both the embossed finish and color. To add a tad more color, pattern and texture ; I might even add a long and fringed, simply draped scarf to the ensemble.

  14. I wouldn’t wear either outfit primarily because I don’t look good in these colours. I would probably wear the sweater in another colour – purple or dark green.

  15. I love the shirt but the sweater would need to be more fitted for my hourglass figure. A turtleneck or v-neck would work best for me too. Beige is not a color I can wear so my sweater would be black. I’d wear it with booties in either black or a leopard print.

  16. The outfit is a nice fall/winter look but not for me! The skirt color wouldn’t go with the other colors in my closet. If it came in black I would try it on to see if I liked the length on me. I’d wear the skirt with boots or wedges. I’m not a fan of chunky sweaters, especially if they have a high neckline. I always choose thinner sweaters with a v, round or cowl neck. I don’t feel cross-body bags are a good look when you have a large bust.

  17. I wouldn’t wear this outfit. The color & shape of the sweater would not be flattering to me. I like the color of the skirt, but it is the wrong length for me. I think the outfit would look great with a tall boot in either black or camel.

  18. I love this outfit. I would style it with my chunky, tumbled amber beads and my leopard mules. A cuff bracelet would add to it too. It might also look good with my cognac mid calf Aquatalia boots with their low bit of heel, but that would depend on the length of the skirt, as I hate a lot of my very fair-skinned calf showing and I often am too lazy to put on tights. I have a fairly long leopard scarf that might work with it too. Actually, there are lots of possibilities, and I like solid colors because I get most of my style and interest from my accessories.

  19. Beautiful fall look but these particular pieces are probably not for me. I have a more petite frame with narrow shoulders and don’t think this would be flattering. But I think it would be perfect for a taller, different body shape (I’m an A and I think this outfit would look better on a V). The potential to accessorize is certainly there!

  20. I think it’s a great fall outfit, but I wouldn’t wear it as the sweater would be unflattering on my hourglass shape. Loose pullovers look like tents on me. I would wear the skirt with a thinner and more fitted sweater. I would pair it with tall boots in tan leather or black booties. I also would not wear a cross body bag – not flattering with a big bust.

  21. I love the colors and look of the sweater and skirt together. However since I don’t wear skirts the sweater would go with slim jeans (rust color) and either leopard flats or a suede flat bootie.

  22. I love the neutral chunky look sweater! I don’t wear long skirts with my pear shape, but this sweater would look so cute with straight leg jeans. Add pointy toe flats in cognac or a dark primary color (even a red tartan plaid or royal blue suede!), And I’m good to go!
