A few of my new favorite things for women

James Avery Wired Hook Bracelet on Over 50 Feeling 40

Happy Wednesday, ladies!  I wanted to take one day to introduce you to a few of my current favorite things from accessories to beauty to home for women.

I am holding the new beautiful James Avery Twisted Wire Hooked Bracelet...a modern take on a charm bracelet.  There are so many charms to select from at James Avery that it was difficult for me to picture just two, but I decided to begin this bracelet with an autumn Wild Sunflower Charm and the Home Sweet Home Charm.  Instead of remembering the difficulties of 2020, I choose to remember the best part…which for me was coming home and discovering everything I love about home. I will be wearing this bracelet often with many charms that speak strong memories and messages to me.

DROPPS on Over 50 Feeling 40

This little packet is a new eco-friendly packet, packed with a punch for your clothing.  The Stain and Odor Laundry Detergent called DROPPS is made of plant derived materials,  cruelty free, compatible with all machines, and gentle for every skin type.  I tested it on Mr. B’s Gulf Coast fishing clothes and I am impressed.  The fish odor is gone…they are super clean and free of fish and stains, and it all happened in one wash.  I will continue to use DROPPS….check them out….they also have dishwashing detergent packs.

Nature Well Rose Water on Over 50 Feeling 40

Here is another product I was sent to review which gave me a pleasing surprise.  I love rose water, but have never see a facial toner with rose water.  I really like this product by Nature Well.  I wear makeup most days and on those days I have always used a toner to help get my face super clean after cleansing.

Many toners are mostly alcohol and very drying to the complexion…but this one is not and has the most lovely aroma. It is made with Damask Rose Water and Oil. I am very impressed with the product. Check out Rose Water Facial Toner by Nature Well.

Chamonix Jaw Treatment on Over 50 Feeling 40

Of course, doing a favorite things list, I had to include one of my favorite skincare products by Chamonix…The Jawline Treatment has tightened and turned things around for my neck and I love this product. I do not want to ever be without it!  They are having a special right now, so check it out The Jawline Treatment by Chamonix.

Kirklands Wreaths on Over 50 Feeling 40

I told you on Monday how much I have fallen for Kirkland’s so they definitely make the list of favorites right now.  They give such great customer service and I find them to be a combination of a Home Goods and Pier One into one store.  Make sure you sign up for the emails in

order to keep up with special sales and discounts.  Shop Kirkland’s here.

DRUM ROLL, PLEASE!

Pamela Lutrell's Autumn Porch

Yes, my South Texas front porch is decorated for fall and waiting for pumpkins to be added later.  I was not going to decorate it this week, but my three grandsons came for a few days and we needed a project to work on together.  They had fun with it!

The Pumpkin can is new and from Kirkland’s.  Everything else we had.  This wreath I originally found a few years ago at Goodwill San Antonio and last year, I added a bow and a couple of embellishments.

So, this post started with a sunflower charm and ends with sunflowers on the wreath!  The change of seasons has me smiling over so many favorite things!!  Anyone else have a favorite thing they would like to add to the list today?  Please do and make sure you….

KEEP SMILING!!

JUST A NOTE:

Taking Juice Plus+ for seven years on Over 50 Feeling 40

There are several ways that I generate income through this blog in order to cover business expenses and give myself much needed income.  Purchases through the slideshow links is one way, ads on the page is one way and a new way is through ordering or re-ordering Juice Plus+ whole food capsules.  Please read my story and information HERE.

ADD SOME APPLE CIDER!

Pamela Lutrell and Goli

Another way is through ordering or re-ordering the GOLI Apple Cider Vinegar gummies through me with my GOLI LINK HERE.  Again, if you are not familiar with the benefits of apple cider vinegar, you should speak with your personal physician.  My husband and I are sold on the benefits and I am proud to represent this product.  I am going to leave this at the bottom of my posts so that when you, friends or family would like to order you can use my link.  Thanks for the support.  This is a great product; as well as, the ones below!

  1. Your charm bracelet made me smile! I have been looking at charms recently and found one for my style of bracelet that is a little house. Since I plan to move in the fairly near future, I put it on my list to purchase at that time. The rosewater is definitely something I’ll look into. I love rose anything – just the fragrance draws me in, and knowing that this formula is non-drying is a plus. I have avoided toner because of the drying effects. Your porch looks like fall has definitely arrived – it’s beautiful and even more special since you did this with your grandsons. How wonderful to have the reminder of that time spent together each time you look at your porch! Something I’m particularly enjoying right now are the farmers markets. This is a grand produce season, and there is one right in the park that’s close by. I like creating meals based on what I find there. It’s fun to just mingle with the other shoppers and right now it says “fall” to me!

  2. Favorite things: my beads, stones and other jewelry making supplies; Jo Malone Pomegranate Noir cologne; Clinique Take the Day Off cleansing balm; midnight (or any purple) cherry tomatoes; my Coma Toes slippers; watching the deer from my balcony; a soft, one piece, no hook bra (TMI, right :)); Ohio sweet corn; few deadlines now that I’m retired; eggs from the co-op; morning walks; Body Shop body butter; more TIME; my hubby (42 years today).

  3. I love the products at Kirklands, but… the smell is overwhelming. I believe it is a potpourri they sell. Are all Kirkland like this? If I do go inside it is a quick in and out followed by a headache. Online is best. Do others find this an issue?

    1. I know they sell alot of sachets and candles…but I always think the store smells so lovely. I can see where it might be intense for some.

  4. I have shopped for years at Kirkland, and really like the store. Best part, the ideas I get to refresh our home, and yes, sometimes I buy an item or two to really make it all work.
Your front porch looks great and will look forward to seeing it again with the pumpkins.
