How to wear faux-leather leggings…make sweet potatoes…and save on beautiful gifts
One silver lining from spending time on the Internet is to discover new inspiration for styling, cooking and shopping.
Today, I want to show you how I was inspired to wear a different look with my faux leather leggings, make sweet potatoes (with bourbon!) a new way, and save on quality gifts!
Also, extra savings just for readers of this blog!!
I follow a couple of Australian ladies (Linda & Leanne) on Instagram called ThiswithThis. I screenshot the look when first shown some time ago and put it in my INSPIRATION FOR FALL folder on my computer.
When I saw this look, I immediately thought…I can do that…right now…with pieces I already own. I love to be inspired by others!!
My only regret here is that I am missing the touch of olive green she is wearing…but I like this and after I put it together, I wore it out. Here are my details and I have owned all of these for awhile:

It is worth the time to look around at other women in search of ideas to style pieces we already own… Pinterest is perfect for that!
INSPIRATION FOR AN EASY THANKSGIVING DISH
Perhaps you are looking for inspiration for a new way to serve Sweet Potatoes over the holidays. Leigh Ann sent along her family-favorite Special Bourbon Sweet Potatoes.
Ingredients:
2 Cans (1 lb 13 oz each) sweet potatoes, drained (I cook mine, but it is easy to make that adjustment)
1/2 cup melted butter
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 cup orange juice
1 egg
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup bourbon of choice (might I recommend the Texas bourbons, such as Rebecca Creek!)
Topping:
1/2 cup chopped pecans
1/2 cup light brown sugar
Instructions:
Beat drained sweet potatoes until fluffly. Beat in remaining ingredients. Place in an oven-proof casserole. Mix pecans and brown sugar and spread over the top.
Bake at 350 Degrees for 30-40 minutes until completely heated.

I do like how you styled your leggings. I don’t know what it is about leather leggings…maybe their edginess…but I love them! It seems if you search for outfit components or certain styles, Pinterest has a wealth of information! I use it frequently when I am looking for new ways to wear what I have, or to find inspiration for a specific event. Your topper is beautiful! I like that it is sheer.
