7 Day Countdown and Moving Fast In Joan Oloff Sneakers

Pamela Lutrell in Joan Oloff shoes

Shoe Designer, Joan Oloff, asked me to try her shoes at just the right time.  It is seven days until Christmas Eve and I am moving fast!

Though I am still not really certain how many family members will celebrate together, there is much to be done to prepare no matter what….and I need happy feet.

Joan Oloff Equality Leopard Sneakers

These are the Equality Leopard Kid Suede shoes by Joan Oloff.  I was not familiar with the brand until she contacted me with a unique story.

She was raised by shoemakers and decided to pursue podiatry in order to help women with their feet.  But, the damage done to women, by poorly made heels, motivated Joan to actually become a shoemaker and designer.

You can read more of her story here, but after reading many rave reviews of her heels, I decided to give the sneakers a try.  I have not worn heels for many years…as I often remind you, I do have funky feet…

Hammer toes, a pin in one big toe, callouses, occasional ingrown nails…you name it!

I am very impressed…first with the comfort and fit of the sneaker.  Second with the stylish design of the sneaker…and third, with the packing presentation.

I am going to keep my eye on this brand…I believe she will do well.

7 DAYS UNTIL CHRISTMAS EVE

Pamela Lutrell in Leopard Suede Sneakers by Joan Oloff

I said I am running fast with much to do, (mostly wrapping and planning), but I was slowed down yesterday in a car accident.

I am fine…just frustrated with the whole ordeal.  My car has been towed and I am waiting for a verdict, and in a rental.

I still refuse to let things like this rob me of my joy…both drivers were fine and walked away.  That is where my focus must be.

Links are below for those following the sales and still shopping…the sales should only get better going forward through Christmas into January.

Join with me…that no matter the frustrations, we will

  1. I’m sorry that you were in an accident, but glad you are okay. It is very traumatic when that happens and inconvenient. I was in a serious accident several years ago and still cringe when I pass that spot when I go to visit my New York family. I hope it is quickly resolved and you can get your car back.

The shoes look very comfortable, from that close up picture of them. They look almost soft! I know that all the years I spent in heels did my feet no favors. I still love heels and wear them for church on Sundays, but no more everyday for me! I’m always interested in stylish shoes that happen to be comfortable too! Your tree is gorgeous! Looks just like a Christmas card!!

  2. Thanks so much, Karen. It has rattled my cage a bit, but nothing I can do about it. Still waiting to hear news on my car. I love my tree…I am already a bit sad that this time goes so fast. After meeting this brand, I might consider trying a pair of her low heels for weddings. If I do that, I will report back!
    Thanks for being here.

  3. Do try to take it a bit easy for a few days, Sometimes the stress of an accident can hide the damage for a couple days. What a terrible thing to have happen when you are trying so hard to spread the JOY. Remember to take care of the others, you have to take care of you. Those shoes even look comfy, so will have to check out the site. Stay well. p.s. when you said a week, my whole body sort of jumped, just hearing it so soon.

  4. If every-one- is ok, every-thing- is ok, just as you said. They are mentally traumatic, though, and so aggravating to deal with. Let’s hope your process is smooth. If you do any serious walks in the shoes, let us know. Comfortable shoe options are always appreciated.

  5. So glad to hear you were not hurt in the car accident. Even so I know any accident will shake you up. Maybe your holiday planning will help take the focus off of that & put it on to more pleasant thoughts.
BTW those sneakers give the perfect punch to your outfit today!

  6. Hi Pam,
I had a car accident two weeks ago and thank God everyone was fine and walked away but my car was totaled and it was so sudden and unnerving. Then I had nightmares for a week thinking about what could have happened. So I complelty understand feeling rattled. Cannot say good bye to 2020 quick enough!
Have a beautiful Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year and thank you for all the wonderful posts that make my mornings! Enjoy your gorgeous grandchildren!

  7. These Joan Oloff sneakers are really cute and as comfy as you say, I too will look for this brand! Her story was meaningful and that perked my interest too.
I am sorry about your car accident. Yes traumatizing as I recall when I was sideswiped. Like your mishap we were both fine. Hope you don’t get any delayed pain. Prayers that things go smoothly.

  8. Such a good idea, Linda…I will get out and walk the neighborhood soon in the shoes and report back!

  9. Good advice, Diane and advice I learned late in life but is important…take care of number one so we can do more for others.

  10. I am so sorry to read of your accident but very glad to hear you weren’t hurt. I hope all turns out well with your car. I am one whose feet were ruined by daily wearing of high heels on what amounted to little more than concrete floors. While I can still wear a 2″ heel for special occasions, my daily choice is a sneaker or loafer style shoe, & your shoes look very stylish.

  11. Sorry to hear about your accident and glad you are alright, though unsettled. Your columns have inspired me to find joy in the season of Christmas. Today I played Christmas songs on the piano and then baked cut out cookies with my favorite Christmas CDs playing in the background. It was magical. The leopard shoes are really cute and would just lift one’s spirits. Do they have arch support? Thanks for your inspiring observations.

  12. So sorry to hear of your accident. As my mother would say, I’m sure it ‘ jarred your preserves’ so take some extra rest time.
I want to thank you too for posting your lovely Christmas decorations. I’m having a hard time finding the spirit and you inspire me to at least get a few things out each day.
