I think most of us want human interaction this Christmas! So, here are a couple of ideas for virtual parties with your girlfriends plus Christmas cookies that Mr. B said are fabulous!
“A cup of tea is an excuse to share great thoughts with great minds. ” -Cristina Re
Isn’t that a lovely quote? Don’t let your tea cups sit empty this year…you can still host a Christmas tea right on Zoom and if you keep the meeting timely, it will not cost a cent.
I recommend for a Christmas tea to invite four to six friends…dress up (it’s a tea after all) and sip on your favorite tea. Everyone can share what they are drinking.
Keep the conversation uplifting and try to keep it from becoming a lament over the year time. You want everyone to leave with a smile and hope for the new year.
You can even make it a Silver Linings Holiday Tea to share your silver linings amidst a challenging time.
Or, host an afternoon Wednesday Wine and PJ Holiday Party! Invite your friends to a virtual party with wine and pajamas! Late afternoon or early evening.
Share your favorite wine with everyone and again, keep it joyful and encouraging.
You will feel great after seeing friends and/or family online, so you be the hostess with the mostest and put it all together!
Younger adults and working professionals have learned the advantages of Zoom meetings and there Is no reason to be alone when you have access to a computer and a Zoom download. There are other programs as well.
Leigh Ann made these…brought some down…and Mr. B immediately requested more. Looks like I will be baking this weekend!
SO EASY, CHRISTMAS COOKIE RECIPE
Begin with your favorite Sugar Cookie Recipe…Leigh Ann actually uses boxed sugar cookies, such as Betty Crocker.
Mix in 1/2 teaspoon pure peppermint extract
6-8 drops of green food coloring
1 cup creme de menthe baking chips
1 cup semisweet chocolate chunks…or 2 cups of favorite dark chocolate chips
Mix the peppermint extract & green food coloring into sugar cookie batter until the green in uniform throughout. Stir in baking chips. Drop small cookie scoops on parchment paper, 2 inches apart.
Bake at 350 for 8-10 minutes until edges are golden brown.
Take some to your virtual holiday tea…in fact, have everyone share a cookie recipe and put them in an email to everyone! Be creative and make it fun!
Make sure you read Susan’s comment yesterday about her Cuddl Duds! Important for those going through menopause and they are so inexpensive right now.
