Would You Wear It for Winter Clothing and a new brand for special gifts

Would You Wear It for Winter Clothing on Over 50 Feeling 40

Twas the Saturday before Christmas and all around the blog, Would You Wear It was happening… from amidst fashion fog….

The clothing was presented by Pam and Jenn, and ready for your thoughts…do they lose or win?

So look the displays over and give us your grades…Would you Wear them or not…do your best to persuade!

**Seriously, most of you know what to do…tell us of you would or would not wear the styles and why.  The comments are read and important to others.  So, ladies, look my display above over and answer….

WOULD YOU WEAR IT???

Pamela Lutrell for Demdaco

I am honored today to represent a quality brand that I have been familiar with for a long time, Demdaco.

Their mission and vision perfectly aligns with my own for this blog.

“Demdaco gifts are often found in specialty boutiques, but can also be purchased online.  This company’s mission and vision perfectly aligns with my own on this blog.We at DEMDACO believe every product creates a conversation. We hope to participate in the meaningful moments of people’s lives. We don’t create those moments, we aspire to make them a little better. We want to be there in times of Joy, Comfort and Love. At DEMDACO, we strive to Lift the Spirit in consumers, in each other and in our communities. Our purpose is to pursue business the way it ought to be—not merely as a financial endeavor—but first-and-foremost, a human endeavor.”

Like many, my original introduction to Demdaco was through the Willow Tree Collection.

Back to my pictures, I have been looking for soup bowls with handles for me and Mr. B for a long time and just did not see any I liked until Demdaco.

These are perfect and over the winter will get used often.  They are exactly what I had in mind.

Naturally, I found more when I spent time recently on their website…and this spoon rest is perfect for my new kitchen.  The old one did not match the new decor.

Spend some time with Demdaco…you might do what I did and end up buying gifts for yourself!

Now head on over to A Well Styled Life and tell Jennifer what you think of her display.  Comment below, and always, always………………………………………………………………………………..

  1. the jeans are interesting. i would try them on to see how it goes…same with the sweater, thats different, but i would need to try it on to see if it flatters or frightens…
i like the dress, although i dont remember the last time i had one on..

  2. I like the seaming of the jeans. What brand? I want to look into those.
I would wear the jeans and sweater (in another color cream or navy) and pass on the scarf. I would wear black leather or suede booties not pumps.
The dress looks nice from here. I would wear different shoes/boots with it, and pass on the snowflake neclace and add my own jewelery.
    Happy Saturday!

  3. You found 2 perfect outfits! I am a rectangle, so the dress is great, and creates the illusion of a waistline, and has sleeves for warmth. The dress is the basic little black dress, that goes everywhere, and good for 3 seasons of the year. The sweater and skinny jeans, perfect also cozy and warm, we are currently having temps in the 20’s and 30’s so this is great for at home and grocery trips. On the sweater and jeans I would switch out to short boots, due to the cold.

  4. I’d definitely try to sweater/scarf/jeans outfit. It is perfect for our cold weather here in Colorado.
I don’t wear dresses much anymore & solid black is too severe for my coloring, so I’d pass on that.
Pamela, I hope you have a joyful & blessed Christmas week!

  5. I would be running to try on that dress and would definitely wear that. It is beautiful as styled with the necklace, and is exactly the type of dress that I navigate toward. I love black dresses and have quite a collection of them, and this one is a winner. The jeans are a definite yes, and I do like the sweater but given the bulk, would probably size down. The color is nice, I like the pale green. Personally, I do better with jewel tones, but have found some pastels do work for me. It’s nice with the scarf, but I’d probably go with a turtleneck underneath, given the need to bundle up here in the north! Would you share the store? That dress is just gorgeous!

  6. All of these pieces work for my rectangular shape; matter of fact I have a variation of each one in my wardrobe. I would prefer a stronger color, maybe red, for the sweater. Light, pastel colors wash me out.

  7. I have a tunic sweater very similar, in shape and colour, to the one shown except mine has a turtleneck so no need for a scarf. I wear a long signature necklace with it. The seams on the leggings look off. I don’t mind front seams but these are scewed. Whoever dressed the mannequin either didn’t take their time to make them right or they are poorly constructed. The black dress would look lovely on my tall slim DIL.

  8. Such a cute rhyme. Bravo👏🏻👏🏻🤶🏻
I would wear both of these! They fit my shape and feel festive. The seaming on the jeans would be very slimming for our legs and the sweater color is fresh for cooler weather.

  9. As to the scarf a yes since it seems we Canuks , never can have enough of them. i.e.: Where I live, right now old man winter is just teasing us as temps are hovering at a warm 20°F … ☺. Re the jeans a possible yes depending upon their fit however a no to the sweater as am avoiding asymmetrical styles because of my current haircut (being the same). In respect to the little black dress; though feel such should be a staple in anyone’s wardrobe I would much prefer if this one had longer sleeves and perhaps a different neckline so I would pass on its purchase. Do like the festive snowflake necklace with it however can also see this dress being belted with a multitude of choices. i.e; Animal print, patent leather, rhinestone etc. Or topped off with a pretty/colorful scarf for those who feel they cannot wear black). Another option could be the addition of a brooch. Additional accessories would be, dependent upon the styling of it.

Last but not least before closing; sending MERRY CHRISTMAS WISHES to you Pamela and your loved ones with a big thank you for your dedication and informative guidance you extend vie your blog which is always an enjoyment. -Brenda-

  10. I have a similar black dress from Chocos, so I would definitely wear it, usually with a longer pendant of my own design. It’s a very versatile item and can even be worn with a denim jacket and sneakers. The sweater looks interesting, but I would have to try it on to see if the sleeves add visual bulk to the tummy area. The color is beautiful but might be too light for me, as many pastels wash me out. I have many bottoms but none with these forward seams. I’m unsure about those and would have to try them on.

  11. I would definitely wear the jeans/sweater outfit, but I’d probably exchange the scarf for a long necklace. I can’t wear heels, so I’d wear it with boots or ballet flats instead. I love the simple elegance of the dress and the necklace is perfect with it, but black doesn’t flatter my complexion. If it was available in navy, I’d try it on in a heartbeat.

  12. I like the scarf and top.
I also had to tell you sometime ago you mentioned a company National for great soft leggings. Thank you. They are the best and softest leggings and they fit very well.

  13. I liked the plaid scarf and top. I love scarves. I also want to thank you for your fashion tips. You mentioned a company that had great leggings. They were the best leggings ever.

  14. I liked both outfits and would wear them. The sweater had some different features that I liked. I also liked the jeans which surprised me. I generally stay away from skinny jeans. I would wear them with a bootie or slides. I liked the dress as well. I would even wear with a denim jacket and boots.

  15. The dress is a perfect winter weight little black dress I think. I own one sleeveless black chino dress with belt, which fits great. As with most dresses, I’ve got to try the dress on.
I like the jeans with front seaming. That’s a different look, and I’ve been looking for my first pair of pull on jeans. These look cute! The sweater is ok, but I’d pass on the color. I generally like sweaters with some personality, texture, design. I own a similar scarf that I wear with one of my winter coats.

  16. The dress is a perfect winter weight little black dress I think. I own one sleeveless black chino dress with belt, which fits great. As with most dresses, I’ve got to try the dress on.

  17. I love skinny jeans, so would certainly give these a try. I like the seam down the front. I do not care for the pale green sweater, but the general idea with a scarf is okay. A little black dress is always a classic to have. We live in a 55+ community, so have lots of shows and opportunities to wear a dress like this.

  18. I love both outfits, especially the mint sweater and pants! I wouldn’t buy the dress as I am retired and the only time I wear a dress is for very special occasions! I too would prefer to wear flats or boots with the pants, but I love the scarf! Merry Christmas Pam to you and your family. Your decorations are gorgeous!

  19. I love the black dress but would have to try it on.
Does sorelli jewelry ship to Canada?
    Thanks

  20. I would definitely wear the sweater and the jeans. Love the colour of the sweater and the details . The scarf is pretty but it looks a bit heavy for inside – it would go nicely with my bright red winter coat. The dress is totally my style and despite the fact that I have no need for dresses these days, a simple back dress is a good basic – this would be a contender.

Thanks for brightening up my Saturdays, particularly over the last several months. Wishing you and your family a happy Christmas.

  21. I love classically styled dresses. A change of accessories, jackets, and shoes can totally change the look. Depending on the weather and occasion, I would wear this with heeled sandals, ballet-style flats, or knee-high boots. The jeans are interesting. I’d have to try them on to see if I felt comfortable with the seaming. I’ve been looking for a tunic-style sweater but this one doesn’t appeal to me. The color wouldn’t be flattering on me. I have short arms and the sleeves look extra-long. The heavy knit would add bulk to my curvy figure. Merry Christmas!

  22. I wear black a lot and this dress is a lovely style. I would prefer if the sleeves were wrist length though. I like the seam on the jeans so would definitely give them a try. No to the sweater. It looks shapeless to me and the colour is too pale as well. The scarf is lovely but better worn over a coat than a sweater.

  23. Pam, I like both the jeans and dress and would love to try them on. I see you mention they can be found at Kohls but I’m unable to find your “link list” that you mention.

  24. I had a sweater in that same color and wore it for years. I recently had to part with it, but I might have to replace it with this one! That is such a beautiful color and it is one that I can wear.

That dress is amazing — might have to think about that as a purchase also. You can’t have too many black dresses. They are great because they can go dressy or more casual. The style is one that would be flattering for most women, I think.

I don’t need more jeans, but I really like the seaming on this pair!

  25. I like the color of the sweater, but the oddly placed split & uneven hem don’t appeal to me. I don’t care for the seaming on the jeans. It’s just a matter of personal taste. I do like the scarf. I like the black dress. It is a classic. If I were looking for a dress, I would try it. I would wear it with sheer black hose & a 2″ heeled pump.

  26. Mary at the bottom of each post I have a list of retailers and KOHLS is one of them. If you click on that link it will take you right to KOHLS. Sorry I did not get specific links for these items in. I will make sure to identify them going forward.

  27. Perfect little black winter dress! I like the jeans but I reserve judgement on the sweater until I tried it on. I like the color and the asymmetrical hem (is it a faux wrap?) but the dropped shoulder, the l-o-n-g sleeves and crew neckline, not so much. Curious about those shoes…they certainly aren’t displayed well to increase sales. On the mannequins, they look like they’re misshapen…Maybe mannequin feet aren’t made to wear shoes? If I hadn’t finished my shopping, those Demdaco pieces would make the gift list!

  28. I’d love to try on the sweater mint color and all but the jeans are a no as I find anything with an odd seam on my short legs just doesn’t work because it adds bulk where I don’t want bulk. The dress as a pear shape is probably a no as it looks too straight to fit nicely over my hips.
