Today’s display is from Kohl’s.

Hot Chocolate Trending Bombs on Over 50 Feeling 40

Seems there is always something new in the world of sweets…especially around the holidays.  This is a hot chocolate bomb!

My grandchildren received theirs from Jolly, the Elf on the Shelf, last weekend, so shared with me what It is.

You pour a cup of warm milk over this round ball, and it melts and explodes into a world of hot chocolate mix, candy and marshmallows…stirred, of course, with a special spoon.

Now, this would be fun anytime the weather is chilly outside so here are a few available online….

Pass The Honey with Pamela Lutrell

Now, for a healthier and, I think, tastier sweet than the bomb, please allow me to introduce to you….Pass the Honey Snacking Honeycomb!

This actual honeycomb, 100% unaltered, is delicious and straight from the hive.  Natural honey is one of those superfoods…so many benefits.

I am more interested now because of my allergy issues, but this honey is delicious and was a great teaching moment with my grandsons recently.

I have also dropped it straight into hot tea….so good. In the little packet is a piece of the honeycomb saturated in pure honey.

When you go to this honey link, scroll to the video about the benefits of honey and learn all that it can do.  Plus it is delicious!

Remember to tell us if you would or would not wear the clothing today….and thank you so much for spending this time with me…..

KEEP SMILING!!!

  1. About the featured outfit…I actually have a jacket exactly like that, and of course, black slim fitting pants. The top, I’m not especially sold on. I love dressy, glitzy tops, but would rather have one in a knit, lurex type of fabric. Or, if it was really a dressy event, I might go with sequins! I love gold with black, but I can also see a glitzy top in white here. The top here is okay, but I’d look for something different to go with the black jacket and pants. Definitely some glitzy, sparkling earrings and knock out pumps! The sweets sound sooooo good!! I found some of those marshmallows you talked about with chocolate and bought them for our family gathering! Had to put them away so I don’t sample them ahead of time!

  2. thats cute for the young and thin…for me its too many different colors and textures.
the jacket and the jeans i would stop and look at, possibly try on, buy, wear…the blouse looks maybe a little low quality, it might not hold up long. maybe a gold colored tank underneath, with a pin for the jacket, some little gold sandals. something to tie it together.
i like the idea of the hot chocolate bombs, ive been seeing them and want to try one. the honey packets i will check into, my sis in law drinks tea with honey at home, when travel begins again, and shes big into traveling, i think these packets would be a great gift for her to take on the road for her morning tea.

  3. I would wear the tops with velvet jeggings. I own a number of black velvet pieces and always wear them during the holidays with silver or gold lurex. Kohl’s has been a lifesaver during COVID; my local store has super customer service and is neat & clean. Chocolate bombs seem like a fun treat for the grandkids but I’m always concerned about giving them anything with caffeine!

  4. The outfit is very nice. Would I wear it, yes with a couple of changes. I would like the holiday top in silver and the black jacket/sweater a little longer.
The bomb for hot chocolate is new for me, will look into it! Merry Christmas.

  5. I like the concept here (black jacket, dark wash skinny jeans, statement top), but the execution is so-so. I think the glitter on the top looks glued on. I agree I’d rather have sparkly knit, or some (perhaps beaded) embroidery. When you have an outfit where the top -is- the outfit, as here, I think it needs to be very well chosen. For my own style, which is very dependent on accessories with a simple base, I might choose a velvet or silky tank in the same or a contrasting color, and do a statement necklace, or skip the necklace for a huge, glittering brooch and statement earrings. Then I could just spend my money on new shoes.

  6. I like the sequin top with the straight leg jeans…maybe next year when we get back to celebrating.

  7. I would wear this outfit. It may be a little “cool” for a Midwest holiday, but I’ve got a heavier lined black jacket that would keep me cozy. I love sequins.

  8. I would wear this to holiday lunch or casual evening event. The black jacket & jeans are classic, & the top has a nice amount of sparkle without being over the top. I would change the shoes out of deference to my bad feet. The hot chocolate bombs sound great!

  9. Not particularly fond of foil fabrics which the top appears to be made out of (pattern is applied using glue/heat) so I most likely would not invest in it. Whereas the jeans and jacket a yes to them and for bling instead would add a sequined or metallic (threaded) knit top. Re the hot chocolate bombs; never seen them before so will store the idea in my memory bank for future reference. -Brenda-

P.S.: As I live a quick fourty-five minutes from the USA – Canada border I am really missing it being opened this season as many items are just not available in Canada. (i.e.: Like something as simple as the hot chocolate bombs as the snowmen are so cute which would make such a perfect for my grandchildren (regardless they are not little any more) as well as their class or team mates … ☺.)

  10. How fun! I have a white sequined sleeveless top which I love and have never worn. You have given me the idea to wear it with a black jacket and slim black jeans. I have a screenshot of this outfit to add to my idea board and will use it when we are able to go out, again.

  11. I agree, I would definitely wear this to a festive event! But, not this year! Super casual and comfy Christmas during stay at home orders in California!

  12. Love the outfit!
I would go with a glitter top of a bit better quality.
    Chocolate bombs!! How fun 🤩

  13. Well, I’m a sucker for sequins & sparkle so I’m all in. I like the skinny jeans but would prefer a slightly longer jacket to go with them. The sequined top looks great with them but it’s got an odd cut I can’t quite figure out from the photo, as though the sheer overlay is in two tiers or there’s a pleat or something. I’d have to see it in person before saying yea or nay, but I’d definitely wear the look if not those actual pieces. I even like the shoes! I think it calls for simple jewelry, maybe 2 or 3 small pins on both lapels, diamond stud earrings (I don’t wear gold so finding jewelry to go with gold tone clothing is tricky.) As for the sweets, I’ll pass. We gave up processed sugar & anything with (wheat) flour in it years ago & aren’t even tempted anymore. They’re pretty to look at, though 🙂

  14. The glitzy top really does make this a holiday outfit but I’d like a top without a jacket so maybe change the neck to a bit scooped or Vee neck would work . I’d add longish drop earrings with a glitzy look and a few sparkles on wrist. A necklace optional.

  15. This is a fun and festive outfit. I don’t normally go for glitz, but I would indulge this year for sure! I like the mix of dressy with jeans.

  16. I love this outfit! Nowhere to wear it this year, but next year, perhaps. I’m basically a magpie…I love all things sparkly
