This article shares how she almost died filming the funny “grape-smashing” scene.  So let’s return to the vineyard in this article from the Outsider.

  1. Each article today evoked memories for me. I was pleased to learn that I am not the only one who does not wash her face in the mornings, but goes directly to moisturizer like Paulina. It’s so odd to think of Fall Pantone colors when we are still dealing with Winter, but I like several of the more intense ones. My mother always carried a silk fan to church when I was small, and as a child, I was fascinated by the beautiful patterns. And who doesn’t love Lucy and all her antics! Almost forgot…I’ve always been borderline anemic so am most aware of my iron levels especially during pregnancies when I had to have iron injections. You hit lots of good points today. Thank you.

  2. I really enjoyed the Lucy article! I have always enjoyed watching those shows, even the reruns. You could count on a lot of laughs, and her movies are just as entertaining. Interesting article about iron levels. There is a lot to be said for a well-balanced, healthy diet. I wasn’t aware of some of these points, so I’m glad you included this in the group of features!

  3. I love your comment, Celia. So fun to see how each article evoked a memory. Thanks for sharing.

  4. I am another person who does not wash my face in the morning, but I do use a washcloth & warm water before I moisturize. I found it interesting that the first row of the Pantone fall colors looked more spring & summer like to me, especially the bright yellow & pale pink. Once again, a great selection of articles.

  5. I just realized that after following the many leads this morning that I forgot to come back to comment. Thanks again for the entertainment that you keep digging up for us. I have not thought about Luci for years, and that brought back memories of watching that show, however did not know of the scarey situations they were put in back then. No stunt doubles. As for the fall colours, there seems to be something there for almost everyone, but I am not ready to think of fall until we have had some warm weather first. The fashion cycles are so out of whack for us normal people, but I guess they have to get ready to mass produce the ideas.
