Shopping Kohl’s with Leigh & me
Happy Tuesday, everyone! Welcome to Shopping Kohl’s with Leigh & me.
Leigh Ann & I headed out to find some options for the warmer weather which is beginning to set in where we are in South Texas.
Since our local Kohl’s finally opened their dressing rooms, we thought …Why Not?…let’s go see what we can discover there!
LEIGH’S SHOPPING LIST
Leigh Ann was looking for simple summer dresses to throw on when she runs errands. This Simply Vera Vera Wang Sleeveless Knit Dress received high marks for an easy, stylish throw on dress.
Both Leigh Ann & I believed this little knit flutter sleeve dress by Lauren Conrad would be a super cute swimsuit cover -up. Leigh really liked the flutter sleeves.
Leigh Ann is shopping for a nice pair of cool, comfortable pants and found these by Simply Vera Vera Wang.
These are the Pull-On Trouser Ankle Pants by Simply Vera Vera Wang and they fit Leigh Ann like a regular pant.
We are fans of the pants longer over the ankle length.
She tried them on with two tops…this one is the Side-Knot Woven Tee in White Knight.
She also liked the pants with the Lauren Conrad Smocked Ruffle Off-Shoulder Top for petites.
MY SHOPPING LIST
Lately, my personal shopping list is all about cute tops for warmer weather.
This top was hanging with the professional clothing, but I liked it and would recommend it for casual.
It is by Apt. 9 and called the Clean-Front Dolman Sleeve Top in the color Sonia Rose.
I also liked the Simply Vera Vera Wang Side-Knot Woven Tee, but in this color called Cloudy Tie-Dye Beige.
I am not really sure why they call this a “tee.” It is not tee shirt material, but more of a blouse.
SHOPPING KOHL’S ACCESSORIES
We actually had the most fun shopping the accessories!! Kohl’s has a great selections of fun hats!
Leigh Ann is modeling the Women’s Sonoma Goods For Life Split-Back Cloche Hat. You can adjust the head-size with an adjustable brim inside the hat.
In our feature picture today (first in the post), I am wearing the Lauren Conrad Straw Visor Hat.
And Leigh Ann is wearing the Sonoma Goods for Life Tweed Floppy Hat.
We both liked these summer tote bags in many fun patterns. These are the Sonoma Goods for Life Print Canvas Totes…only $17.85.
I have been looking for a cute, small straw bag…all of my straw bags are really big. This Lauren Conrad Small Ring Woven Crochet Cross Body Bag is on a strong maybe list!!
Finally, since we are both bird lovers, Leigh Ann & I thought this Lauren Conrad Hummingbird Floral Square Scarf was lovely. It would make a great gift as well and currently only $14.28!
These trips with Leigh Ann are always fun, and hopefully we can be your shopping friends as well. Let us know what you are shopping for and we will go on the hunt.
Thanks for joining in…and make sure you always…
KEEP SMILING!!

I think I may run over and pick up the cloche hat that Leigh Ann is wearing. Exactly the style I’ve been looking for! They have it in the store close by. I like your side tie top, those are so flattering and, I think, make our legs look longer because the top is naturally a little shorter. That’s a great piece! I don’t have much luck at Kohl’s for some reason, but I’m going to go get that hat!!
Hi – great selection thanks for adding Kohl’s. Can you share maybe also the non-Kohl’s jeans/crops you are wearing. One of the more flattering when you need something a little shorter due to heat.
Super cute hat! I hope you like it, Karen!
Hi Catherine, these are old and sadly not carried any longer. They were at Soft Surroundings and called Metro Legging Crops! I will try to remember to wear items when shopping that I link to…but I do love these pants and wish they still had them!
Pam.
You and Leigh Anne tried on some cute items. I especially liked the accessories..I will need to take a trip to Kohl’s with a friend, too.
We had fun…always fun to shop with a friend!
I really liked the sleeveless tee wuth blue and green(?) stripes Leigh–Ann wears in the first photo as well as the sleeveless tee shirt dress she’s wearing for running errands. Really cute! Those Vera slacks look comfy and pulled together with the tops she’s paired them with too!
I love the red Vee neck top you’re trying on Pam, and I wonder if you bought it . Straw bags and hats are part of my shopping list for summer too! Looks like you had a lot of fun at Kohl’s on this recent excursion.
Hi Paulette, That blouse is lovely but I did not purchase it….it is on a strong maybe list for me. Happy Tuesday!
Thanks, Pam – if you find something like those at soft surroundings or another store when we need not really ankle pants but slightly shorter crop for either beach-going or a summer picnic etc. when warm and long pants don’t work! Did get some at one store but not in a jean material and looking for those flattering ones or similar in a jean or soft twill. And yes, going to do an person retail now this week at Kohl’s thanks for posting, since I hope to try on, otherwise would order from your site.
I understand Catherine! Thanks for being here!
Details on the white shoes, please
Hi Judy! Leigh Ann’s sandals are a pair she has owned for awhile. If I don’t link to items, they are no longer available! Thanks for being here!
I liked that Kohl’s hat. Last year, I was outside so much that my part line burned, then tanned. This year, I’ve resolved to protect it and have been buying a couple of cool straw hats. I feel kind of ridiculous in any hat, but I think the sun protection is worth it. I like ankle pants, but as Catherine pointed out, I too sometimes want a longer denim crop. That way, it hits a little lower on my calf, rather than at the widest part. I took a pair of light washed Talbots ankle jeans and just cut them off where I wanted them. I was unsure of the frayed hem look (as I don’t like jeans with holes), but since the length is now perfect, I’m wearing them all the time. Great for summer, when things are more casual.
So enjoy these shopping excursions with you gals since our stores are still closed and do appreciate your time and effort to show us what is out there. Living in Canada, its been awhile since I’ve shopped at Kohl’s (its about a five hour drive away) but have always found something if not for myself, for the grand children that has made the trip worthwhile. Do like the selection you’ve shown that encourages me to put the store on my USA To Shop List as soon as the border opens. -Brenda-
P.S.: I love Leigh Ann’s bracelet with the turquoise (?) stone.
Nice fun!
it is fun, Beth! Thanks for joining in!
I hope that border opens for you soon, Brenda! Thanks for shopping virtually with us!
Looks like a fun trip! I’m headed to Kohl’s tomorrow in search of some household items, but I will check out the accessories department. I could use another summer hat. I have one that I purchased from Kohl’s a few years ago, but it would be good to have a second one.
They had so many cute hats! Have fun, Becky!
I’m very glad that your Kohl’s has finally opened their dressing rooms. It has been difficult to get a good fit without trying things on. You both look terrific in your outfits!
