Shopping Talbot’s with Leigh & Me

Shopping Talbots with Leigh & Me

Happy joyful Thursday, ladies!  Welcome to another post of Shopping Talbot’s with Leigh & Me!

Leigh Ann and I were so excited to go to Talbot’s and try on new garments from the August Catalog, which reflects a transition from summer to fall.

First of all, I want to thank the lovely sales associates at Talbot’s in North Star Mall, San Antonio.  What a great group they have!

Leigh Ann is your petite model today and this outfit really made her smile. Here are the pieces she tried on…the jacket also comes in the fun Orange Zinnia color!

I started off with the Coastal Hooded Anorak in Animal Print.…if San Antonio was more of a rainy climate, I would so purchase this!

I will have my eye on it if our weather changes from a typical fall.

Leigh Ann and I both are shopping in the Autumn palettes, but please know many of the pieces come in different colors and have offering for you Winter and Summer ladies.

Both of us loved the Slim Ankle Jeans in Tortoise shell, and this is the only garment that Leigh Ann did not wear petite…she is wearing a size 6 here.

She paired it with a Grazing Tiger Cotton Button Front blouse in petite (another garment we both liked a lot) and The Ragland Girlfriend Cardigan in petite and Orange Zinnia.

The stripes on the tiger blouse are an olive green and I cannot say enough great things about this Orange Zinnia color for Autumns…it is a vibrant orange/red…just lovely.

But this cardigan comes in pink, green and navy!

The slim ankle jeans are also in other colors…but like I said, we loved the Tortoise Shell!

The blouses in the August collection are so lightweight and soft…perfect for warmer climates to wear all season.

Here are the pieces I am wearing which are all in Misses sizes…..

Finally, I also tried on the Crewneck Colorful Cheetah tee, with the Casual Washed Blazer in Jungle Green.

I was glad to find blazers and jackets that only had one pocket or no pockets at the top.  I do not want to wear the double pockets on a larger chest.

Remember if you are plus size, many of these garments are also offered in Plus Sizes.

Here are some fun options for other color palettes…

Talbot’s has so many fun options in store and online right now….thanks for shopping with Leigh & Me.   We had a great time there, and left with a full wish list! I had a birthday gift card to Talbot’s…you will see what happened with it, soon!

KEEP SMILING, EVERYONE!!

  1. Talbot’s is my favorite store and where I shop most often. They are so good at classic styles for women in our age group! I love the girlfriend cardigans, and the color Leigh Ann is wearing would also work for me. I love the blazer you are wearing! Blazers are such a great third piece. So many gorgeous things in the slide show too! Just love the vibrant colors. The jeans in that color you’re both wearing are wonderful!! Talbot’s has definitely nailed it again!!

  2. We were both very excited by the new collection, Karen! The tortoise shell jeans are awesome! Gorgeous color!

  3. That rain jacket is fantastic, and here I would get wear out of it for 3 seasons, not warm enough for winter but fun anyway. The button cuff pullover is gorgeous in the slide show, and will have to go back for a second look. Another fun shopping trip for you two.

  4. Talbot’s is one of my favorite stores and slim ankle jeans are my favorite jeans. You both look great!

  5. Beautiful outfits on both of you! Thank you for the in store try on. we are back to masks so I am no longer shopping in stores. read your posts daily and love your blog!

  6. I loved almost everything in the new Talbots catalog. A review on the jeans said they were tight in the waist, which would mean a size up for me. Did you have that issue? In the past, I’ve found some of the Talbots colored jeans to be different in sizing (smaller) than their regular denim washes.

  7. I am happy we can do this for your, Kathy! We enjoy these shopping adventures!

  8. Actually no on the jeans…I sized down! But I have recently lost a little weight so I am happy to be solidly in misses sizes on this trip. They fit well…were not tight in the waist on me.

  9. Talbott’s is one of my favorite stores. They cater to my classic taste & always seem to have a variety of colors. I have also found their sales associates to be most helpful. Thanks to you & Leigh Ann for showing us what’s new.

  10. Talbots is now and has been my Go-To store for most of my basics- jeans, leggings, Bermuda shorts, chinos and tees ! A great store for a core wardrobe . This new catalog is truly special and you and Leigh Ann look great in everything ! Yes those Tortoise shell jeans are terrific- perfect for fall! Perfect for you who are Autumns!

  11. Thanks for the slideshow. I bought the tiger shirt several weeks ago and it is a lovely shirt. It is light weight comes out beautifully from the laundry and it’s my colors which are autumn. I have really enjoyed following you on your journey you’ve made so many changes and they make you even more vibrant than you were before. You have inspired me to look at the clothes in my closet in a different way and to add more of the autumn colors that I love and wear them every season.

  12. I love Talbots and you both looked wonderful and so put together in the outfits you tried! Their styles are classic and the quality is great. I especially liked the Tortoise Shell Jeans and that tiger shirt! LOVE the fall colors! Thanks for modeling for us!

  13. Great outfits. I’d say you did well; especially with your autumn palette. Talbot’s is great and one of my favorite stores to shop; although I rarely go to the store now since our nearest ones closed. I do all of my Talbot’s ordering online, so posts like this are great to see real women in real sizes! Thanks! I think I have to order that blouse, even though I’m a spring.
It looks more red than orange. Am I wrong?

  14. I agree, Nancy…it is red/orange but I think it is the red emphasis that makes it so vibrant!
