Shopping Fall Outfits at JCP with Leigh & Me

Happy fall Sunday, everyone!  Welcome to Shopping Fall Outfits at JCP with Leigh & Me.

Leigh Ann and I have been so excited to discover great fall pieces at more affordable prices and JCP certainly came through with some surprises.

JC Penney in North Star Mall is nestled behind the biggest cowboy boots in the world, and I want to say kudos for one of the best dressing room areas!

We discovered some fun fall outfits…so let’s get started with key pieces featured in the first picture.

We were both impressed with the High Rise Ankle Skinny Jeans by a.n.a…available in several colors…comfortable with great fit.

Leigh is wearing the a.n.a.Women’s High Rise Button Fly Skinny Ankle Jean in Copper Canyon….a beautiful fall color and more vibrant in person than online….four really pretty colors…some of you will love the light green and violet.

She paired it with a denim shirt for a perfect casual fall outfit.

I am looking cozy chic in this Liz Claiborne Women’s Mock Neck 3/4 Sleeve Striped Poncho.

I tried in on with the St. John’s Bay Boat neck elbow sleeve tee shirt.

Would also look great with leggings!

As I said earlier, we were both impressed with the skinny options from a.n.a. I was not familiar with the brand.

Leigh liked the button front, and I liked the ones below…

Leigh Ann looks wonderful in just about everything she tries on.  Here are the highlights of this look:

Liz Claiborne Women’s Girlfriend Straight Leg Jean…she was able to size down in these.

We were not familiar with the Ryegrass line at JCP, but we were impressed with what we saw.  It is a very youthful brand with some selections that work for all ages.

This Ryegrass Genuine Leather Midweight Jacket is real leather, well made and currently 75% off!  Down from $300 to $75….we were amazed at the quality and cost.

Finally, here is my favorite outfit that Leigh Ann pulled together…….

She looks so modern in the Liz Claiborne Women’s Mock Neck Short Sleeve Pullover Sweater in a medium size….on sale for a little over $21!!

The leather leggings are out of her comfort zone, but I thought this whole look was great on her….however, I could not find them anywhere online for a link.

These St. John’s Bay Women’s Full Length Leggings are a great buy at $15. 99 with the code below.

  1. You’ve shown us several cute items in good colors for us “winter” folks, and at such reasonable prices. I had many Liz Claiborne items probably 25 or more years ago that were so fashionable and wearable, then that brand seemed to disappear. Or maybe I just was not looking in JCP for them. Thank you for reminding me of where we can still buy well made clothing at such reasonable prices. Sadly, my closest JCP has closed, but they are still open in Tallahassee I think.

  2. Years ago, Worthington and Liz Claiborne were go-tos for work. I haven’t been in a JCPenney for years, not since one of their many ill advised “reinventions” to appeal to a younger demographic. I guess that illustrates the danger of abandoning your loyal customer base. I was impressed with the prices too, and you both looked great. I don’t know if you bought anything, but I thought those light beige pants looked terrific on you and would be versatile for a Texas autumn (here they would be rain splashed and filthy). I need to check out the eggplant pieces you mentioned. Now, if I could just stop scrolling thorough the Talbots fall collection pics long enough to get to JCP … 🙂

  3. Yes! I bought those pants! Could not resist the fit for that price and have already worn them often! The eggplant color is gorgeous !

  4. Line others here I’ve not shopped JCP in a very long time. The exception was a running shoe and work out clothes sale they had going on just before the pandemic hit. Long ago I bought linens there. Bedspreads etc – were talking a decade or more! These outfits you’ve shown us today are adorable. You both look so cute in everything!

  5. I love finding looks for less. I’ve found that you can no wind almost any look at any price point, including at thrift stores.

  6. I have always had good luck shopping at JCPenney, but I just have to say, things must really be different in San Antonio. When you showed the mannequins at Kohl’s, and these photos taken at JCP, I just can’t imagine. The Kohl’s here is a disaster with very low inventory and very disorganized (I can’t even force myself to shop there) and JCP, while a place I will go, doesn’t look anything like your store. Ours looks like a warehouse. Oh well. I love that blouse you are wearing, the cranberry color is so pretty…I am also quite familiar with the a.n.a. brand and have quite a few pieces in my wardrobe. I have found the pants and jeans to have a lower rise than I prefer, but need to check out the more recent offerings. I always get my Levi’s at JCP when they have sales. It’s a great store for lower prices and fun styles.

  7. So fun when you discover quality items at budget prices! A number of years ago I discovered the JCP a.n.a. brand and bought a 2 tees and a sweater in royal blue. I love them and have them to this day!
I love some of the things you show here; particularly Lee’s first look and your striped poncho! Cute, cute, cute!
I’ll have to get on over to my local JCP!

  8. You two are having too much fun! and cute clothes picks too. OUr Penneys had pretty much rolled over and died! Used to shop there lots. But appreciate what you bring us on the internet, saves lots of time and foot wear.Love those jeans Leigh ann is wearing and he copper color is great!
