FASHION NEWS FOR WOMEN OVER 50

Today's News for Women Over 50

I completely understand that it frustrates some of you that during the first week of fall we are discussing spring fashions.

But, every year, during the Fall New York Fashion Week, the runways not only predict style for spring and summer, but also the trending colors for those seasons.

So, if you are interested, here is the The Pantone Fashion Color Trend Report for Spring/Summer 2022.

It is said to be calming, comforting, optimistic and joyful!  I do believe the Harbor Blue and SkyDiver are the shades of blue that Annie recommended for me when I accepted that I am a Vibrant Autumn girl.

  1. I found the article on graying hair to be very interesting. Most of these are considered”super foods” for a lot of reasons, but I never knew about the impact on graying hair! The shipping issues are not surprising, even though unfortunate. I found this to be especially true when I ordered furniture (in store). I was given a six-month lead time, and it could go longer. This is definitely a big problem that hopefully will be resolved soon. It’s a beautiful fall day here…much cooler and a few trees are beginning to change color. I’m heading to the park with my dog buddy to enjoy the new season!

  2. I’m always wary about nutrition articles that use the word “may” and focus on true nutritional deficiencies, which are not prevalent in people eating a reasonable diet. Of course, the foods they mention are sound nutritionally, but the takeaway was just to eat good food. The retail article was really interesting. Last year I started early and will have to this year too. Pam, I’m not sure if it’s on my end, but your comments are being numbered (1, 2, etc) and my comment box is really tiny, about the size of two postage stamps. This happened a few days ago and has persisted.

  3. Since I already have my gray hair, I can say that I will not be taking advantage of eating seaweed and liver, although I do enjoy lentils and salmon. I think the Skydiver color in the Pantone article is very close to that Kingfisher blue you explored earlier. There are some beautiful colors shown for all palettes. And thinking of Christmas, fortunately, but sadly, our grandchildren would prefer money for Christmas as they are all teenagers, so their Christmas gifts do not have to be hidden! Have a nice weekend. Thankful for our cooler weather!

  4. A good place to hide Christmas presents is to hide the presents inside your suitcases. My children who are now grown up never did find them there.

  5. I did update my website design and perhaps that is what you are seeing Linda. I will look into it, but not sure if there is anything I can do. Will try!

  6. I hope I can always shop for them…I love picking out things I know they will love. But probably all too soon they will want gift cards and money! You also have a wonderful weekend!! I have fun posts for Saturday and Sunday…hope to see you there.
