Happy Tuesday!  Welcome to my report on shopping for Spring 2022 and discovering warm colors at JJILL.

I am so pleased…and a little surprised…to see  many colors for us autumn -palette- ladies this spring…and JJILL did it well!

These warm colors at JJILL are rich and many are vibrant.

I love the ones called pottery, chutney, ocean, goldenrod, oatmeal heather, chamomile heather, green papaya, coriander, and toffee.

So warm and lovely.

WARM COLORS AT JJILL: DRESSES

Warm colors and JJILL

I really liked this Pure Jill Linen Patch-Pocket Shirt Dress.

I am watching it closely to see if I can pick it up on sale…but it is a great dress for warmer weather and for warmer colors.

But, if you don’t like wrinkles in linen, then this is not the one for you!

In yesterday’s post, I showed you this  PLEATED BUTTON-FRONT DRESS in a color called Dark Green Papaya.

I have worn it as a dress and as a topper as I pictured here….I like this knit…the way it feels and the way it does not wrinkle.

I am really enjoying shirt dresses this year and the versatility.

The Wearever Relaxed Two-Pocket Tee shirt Dress is a great easy style for spring and summer.

I love this vibrant “pottery” color and the print is called pottery vine jacobean.  But, never fear, it is available in colors best for winter-palettes.

This little dress is comfy and cute…but not for me.

This is the Pure Jill Buttoned Back T-Shirt Dress.…very comfy.

It is a little washed out for me (a Vibrant Autumn) and I have a night shirt in a similar print.

WARM COLORS AT JJILL: TOPS

Warm Colors at JJILL

I love this color and hope JJILL will produce more options in it…it is called Goldenrod and is more of a rich saffron yellow.

On their website, it looks brown…but it is in the yellow family for sure.  This is the Wearever Double-Face Jersey Cuffed Sleeve Top.

I wore this top as a shacket in order to show you both of these colors.

The tank is the Wearever Easy A-line tank in Pottery…such a great color.

Over it I am wearing,  the Soft & Easy Patch Pocket Shirt in Toffee.

Just for me, being a curvy lady, I do not care for the pocket placement here on my girls….but I do like the toffee color and hope to see more offered in it.

That was all I had to show you on this trip, but hope to return soon and I want to thank JJILL for these luscious warm colors going into spring……

WARM COLORS IN MY DIET

warm colors

This week I want to share with you some of my favorites in my new healthy eating plan and I noticed the warm colors as I took the pictures!

This is a favorite breakfast: Good Culture Cottage Cheese (I like peach and pineapple); mixed with a  1/4 teaspoon of this Beet Root Powder.

I have danced with many beet powder dogs, but I love this one….it does not have a heavy beet taste and is super healthy.

Warm colors

I stir that mixture with a shake of Saigon Cinnamon, and top it with fresh strawberries…a fave and only 3 points in the WW app.

Love it for breakfast after a workout.

Warm colors

There’s that saffron yellow right in my refrigerator.

I like to keep a pitcher of water with either oranges, lemons or limes in the water.  Then I will refill my cup all day long!

I hope little tips like this help encourage the rest of you on your own healthy eating plan.

Thank you for being here today…as always, let me know if you have questions and make sure that you……

KEEP SMILING!!

  1. Some great color choices from JJill! They seem to have good dress options all of the time, where with other stores it’s more sporadic. Those Easy A-line Tanks and wonderful wardrobe staples too. I’m currently waiting for one in navy, back-ordered till mid-April. J Jill is definitely a store for comfortable, stylish clothing. Thank you for showing your brand of beet powder. I truly like beets and eat them very often, especially the golden ones. Having the powder to stir into other dishes would definitely have benefits. I wasn’t aware of the flavor differences across different brands. That’s interesting.

  2. For me, the flavor has been huge. I like this one best! I agree that JJill has great options for dresses and colors for all!

  3. I love J.Jill! Thank you for sharing the spring outfits. I am on the hunt for a linen shirt for spring and summer. J.Jill may be calling my name to check it out. I really need to try on their clothing as sometimes I alternate between sizes depending on cut. I don’t have a store near me so I have to order on line.

  4. Once you decide your purchase, Kat, please use my links to get to JJill…it helps keep me here by supporting the blog! I so appreciate it!

  5. You definitely glow in those brighter, saturated autumn colors. That one tee shirt dress that was so dull was obviously not for you! I often eat yogurt with berries and walnuts for breakfast but have never tried cottage cheese in the morning. And I’ve not been aware of beet powder, but will look for it. This Friday I’m getting two flats of strawberries directly from Florida so we will be enjoying lots of beautiful berries for a while. In addition, I’ll be making several dozen half-pints of jam to share.

  6. I thought JJill had really lost its way, but happened to stop in a couple of months ago when they were launching their blue and green collection. I bought a navy outfit and am sorry I passed on a nice turquoise hoodie. This retailer fits me well and has the casual silhouettes I’m preferring in retirement. They have great, unembellished basics. I’m glad to see that their colors are more saturated this spring, as I’ve been finding them very dreary over the last few years. They need to go back on my radar!

  7. OOOO….you had me at fresh jam, Celia. Sounds so good. This particular cottage cheese has the same benefits as yogurt…it is really good..just ate my morning bowl with the berries and beet powder!

  8. The Autumn color palette is definitely you, Pamela. As to a dress; my vote still goes for the Chico’s A-Line Pop Over one that you modeled a few postings back …. 😊. Wishing you a beautiful day! -Brenda-
Footnote: Our temps are still ranging in the low 20’s F so hopefully it will warm up for us, very soon.

  9. I’m happy to learn about beet powder and will try it with my am yogurt.
I love the greens and yellows that epitomize Spring to me — so happy to see these colors at J Jill. I wish, though, that they had more fitted tops as I’m not seeing them on the website. I love linen and don’t mind wrinkles. If you don’t mind my saying so, though, I think that the Patch Pocket Shirtdress looks too big on you. The vibrant ‘pottery’ one is a home run.

  10. JJill is definitely having a moment with my personal color palette (warm autumn.) Isn’t it a great feeling when you walk into a store and see your most flattering colors? I love the rust/cinnamon color of that linen dress, which is reading much lighter on the blog than in store, but I don’t think I will be wearing it until late summer/early fall. Their coriander green matches my eye color exactly, and has become my worst vice. I keep buying “just one more top” at full price from JJill while it is available. I have never cared for traditional spring colors, so finding these this time of year is huge for me. Spring is my crazy busy time at work and I always miss out on the good spring picks because I have so little time to shop. I’m also in Texas and have a similar style, so most of what works for you works well here in Fort Worth, as well. Thanks for doing some spring scouting for us!

  11. I like J. Jill but find that when I try to order online they are out of what I want. Are stores stocking less these days, Pam?

  12. I shop both on-line and in-store at J.Jill, more often than I’d like to admit. I agree that it seems like items are selling out much faster on-line than they used to, but perhaps that’s because so many of us got in the habit of shopping on-line during the pandemic. I find that often items that sell out quickly on-line are available in my local store, and they are really good about holding them for several days until I can get there to make the purchase. They also let me know that if they place an on-line order for me I don’t have to pay shipping, even below a minimum order. They often do that when I need tall sizing, which is not carried in the store. Another trick is to shop the store in person right after the weekend, when many people come in to make on-line purchase returns. I’m lucky that the store is close to my church and family, so it’s not inconvenient to stop by to make exchanges or returns. Hope that helps!
