A review of Kohl’s + Sephora

Kohl's + Sephora

Happy, happy Monday, everyone!  Welcome to my review of Kohl’s + Sephora.

I have been watching the Kohl’s closest to me going through renovations for some time now as they added Sephora to the store.

I was not certain how this was going to work, but this past weekend I stopped in to check it out.

Here is my review of Kohl’s + Sephora.

KOHL’S + SEPHORA

Kohl's + Sephora

I have not been much of a Sephora shopper, but with this convenience, I will become one.

There is a location in town where the associates know my 30-year-old son by name!  He loves Sephora!

As I watched the store begin to transform, I was not certain how it would work with the limited space they have.

Kohl's + Sephora

But, you know what?  I was wrong…this addition helps the store so much.

They were forced to clean up and organize better and it works!  Kohl’s + Sephora are a perfect match.

The entire store looks better….and it takes the Kohl’s brand up a notch in my opinion.

Kohl's + Sephora

I really like the fact that Kohl’s + Sephora carries brands we traditionally have to drive to a mall to find.

Estee Lauder, Lancome, and Laura Mercier are some of the top brands I saw there.

I also think gift shopping just got a little easier.

I like the fact that I can apply my Kohl’s discounts to these purchases now.

Also, I can order online and save shipping by picking them up inside the store.

KOHL’S + SEPHORA AND FASHION

Kohl's + Sephora

As I said, I believe this makeover has been beneficial.

The clothes are no longer jammed together and displayed now in a way to see colors and styles.

Of course, the sale area is a bit jammed, but I did not spend much time there on this trip.

I liked this LC Lauren Conrad Eyelet Flutter Sleeve Top in Pinery….it is a lovely green.

Green is going to be a big color to transition from summer to fall.  Pantone has three greens in their Fall 2022 fashion trend colors.

Here they are….

So, watch for more greens as we get into dressing room visits.

Now, that I am losing a little weight…I am open to shopping for some athletic wear…what I currently wear is pretty raggedy.

I have always liked the Champion brand...because I love the idea of everyone being a champion!

My only criticism here is that I cannot find these on their website in order to provide links….oh well….

My favorite leggings that I tried on this day were the FLX ankle leggings.…I came home and ordered them in the Plum Pie color.

These leggings feel amazing….much more comfortable and fit better that the ones I am wearing above.

Also, they offer more color options.

Overall, this was a very successful trip to Kohl’s + Sephora.  I am impressed with the store and believe I will visit it more often now.

That’s my review of Kohl’s + Sephora and I am sticking to it!

Here are a few more items you may want to know about…..remember, to click through on a picture to go to the website for more….

Thanks for joining me today…how many Sephora fans are out there and have you shopped it at Kohl’s??  Let us know….I hope to see you tomorrow for Budget Saving Tuesday!!

  1. We have a Kohl’s store about two miles up the road, but in the past I have never really found anything I liked there except shoes. Recently, I did take a look when it merged with Sephora. I was pleasantly surprised to find Land’s End and Eddie Bauer in the ladies department of which I did purchase a few items. I usually shop Marshalls and TJ Max , so I found even with the half price sale- the items were slightly pricey at Kohls. Enjoyed your review. Thanks.

  2. I agree that it can be pricey, Judee. I only shop there with the coupons. They do make a difference.

  3. Love the “Shine On” mug!! So cheerful and who doesn’t need that?! Our Penney’s has that Sephora store/kiosk inside. It’s probably the most relaxing spot in the store!! I’ll make a point of stopping by Kohl’s to see if ours had added Sephora. Sometimes things here tend to follow at a snail’s pace. I like that you can shop for, as you said, the department store or mall brands in one place. Definitely a good addition. I like that green color on you. The Pantone greens I’d have to try on to see. I have a lot of the olive shades, think it’s a good neutral, but maybe the more kelly green for me… deeper greens tend to look better so have to try on. They do have nice athletic wear that you are showing. Champion is an affordable brand, and there’s just something about feeling confident when dressing to walk or work out that seems to motivate!

  4. gotta love Sephora, to me its kinda like Costco, full of stuff I didn’t know I needed until I saw it!
your weight loss journey is looking good, its fun to fancy up the walking gear. although I get most of mine from final and clearance racks, love finding a fun print.

  5. This store is more organized and focused with the new design. I am glad to see some of the chaos under control. But for those who love the hunt, the clearance rack section is still there.

  6. Thanks for the reminder to visit Kohl’s, Pam. I usually stop in when shopping for my grandchildren. I don’t usually have luck for myself. I will put it back on ‘look’ list. Great coupons-usually 30%. Also, thanks for the green reminder. My closet is full of teals and greens. Love that olive martini! A great color for autumns.

  7. I often shop there for grandchildren.,, and maybe I will stop by more often. I did check to see if the children’s department is still strong and it is. So the makeover did not take from it.

  8. Thanks for the Sephora addition review. Our Kohl’s is/was putting one in and I haven’t been back to check on it lately. You look so good in the green top. I “hear ya” on losing weight making workout wear fit bitter–I need some myself.

  9. The Kohl’s here has been going through a renovation & I’m hoping it’s a Sephora add on. I like Kohl’s for underwear and bras, although trying to find a size 34 B is like looking for a needle in a haystack! I buy my favorite golf socks there as well their TEK exercise wear. I don’t care for their pricing at all; everything seems to be ‘on sale’ except the day I go to shop. They were carrying a well known golf clothes line where the mark up was higher than all the other golfwear stores here. The Food Network dish towels are wonderful & the only ones I buy now. You’re looking great, Pam! Keep at it!

  10. I love Sephora and was so happy when Kohl’s added one to my store last fall.
Pam, I just want to add that you look amazing! You are an inspiration and a motivator for me to continue on my weight loss journey!

  11. It is fun to finally shop for some workout wear, Kimberly. Make sure you check out your Kohl’s when they are finished.

  12. Thanks Linda! Most likely they are putting in a Sephora…make sure you check it out! I will also take your advice on looking at the Food Network dish towels. Thanks!

  13. Thank you Louanne! I am so encouraged that I spend last week around lots of pizza, chips, ice cream and donuts with grandchildren at my house…and I did not gain one pound. That tells me that my habits are truly changing!

  14. Our Kohl’s (adding Sephora) was mid construction last tine I popped in. The store was in disarray everywhere I walked. I’ll have to see it completed. Thus must face been a month ago. But I do purchase some children s wear there and my work out clothes. I hope you bought those beautiful workout leggings and long tee for your own sessions!
    They Look great!

  15. I do like shopping at the regular Sephora stores. I will have to stop at Kohl’s to see how the Sephora in store measures up. I typically do not like shopping at Kohl’s for the organization set up you mention. Hopefully ours has changed with the Sephora addition. Like another reader mentioned, never buy anything there at full price because it will be on sale soon. Or that’s how it used to be. Now a lot of items are excluded from coupons, like the Lands End products they carry. I bought two pairs of the Lands End knit pants to wear for workouts, but they shrunk so much (even with line drying) that I now use them for camping pajama pants only. So maybe not the same quality as what is sold in the regular Lands End stores?? I will try the Food Network dish towels that another reader recommends.

  16. We have had a Sephora in Kohls here for a few years (we are -never- ahead of the curve, so go figure :)). NO Kohls’ coupons, discounts or Kohl’s cash works there. There are also significant restrictions on the coupons with Lands End, Eddie Bauer, and Levi’s. I have tried Kohls several times this year, and just am not a fan. I find for appliances and things they are fine. But their clothes are so hit and miss (mostly miss) for me. When I can get a JJill jacket for $35 or a Chicos top for $9.99-19.99, I feel no need to wade through the Kohls offerings.

  17. I love that Sephora is now in my local Kohl’s! They left our mall and finding one without parking issues is nice. It’s one of my favorite stores. Honestly, I really didn’t notice if the Kohl’s side cleaned up their act. When my son was younger I’d shop there for a lot of his things at a great price! Lingerie department is nice also.

  18. All they did was mess with the jewelry depth. Almost non existence in that area. To me it was focal point of store. Especially at holiday shopping. I realize they probably had a lot of theft because I always saw empty earing holders in dressing rooms. But to me I’ll miss the selection they had n quality.
