Holiday fun at Talbots with Leigh & Me

fun at Talbots

Happy Monday, everyone….Leigh Ann and I are back!  So join in with us for Holiday fun at Talbots with Leigh & me!

Just in case we have new readers, these are post where my friend, Leigh Ann and I go out to show you different sizing…she is more petite, and I am more Misses.

Today, we are having some fun at Talbots…and we tried on many colors just for you!

In the first photo today, we selected the black sweater and dress version of one lovely Fair Isle design.

Leigh Ann is wearing the Spruce Fair Isle Sweater Dress.

I am wearing the Fuzzy Fair Isle Ragland Sweater.…size down on this one, it runs large.  I am wearing a Medium.

I tried it on with the Faux Fur Collar Champagne Metallic Down Puffer Vest…which is really pretty.

The blouse and top Leigh Ann is trying here actually has a lot of sparkle in it…just a little difficult to show in the images.

Let’s call it classic fun at Talbots!

She is wearing the Smocked Top with Cheerful Dots in a Petite Medium.

And she paired it with the Hampshire Ankle Pant in a sequin tweed….and Leigh Ann is wearing an 8P.

Most of you know that Leigh Ann and I do not wear pink, but we thought this was so pretty, we wanted to show it to those of you who love pink.

She is wearing the Diamond Stitch Crewneck Pullover in Pink Champagne Heather and a size PM.

She styled it over the Cotton Button Front Shirt – Furry Plaid in size PM, and the color is Pink Champagne/Toffee.

And she is wearing the Slim Ankle Jeans in Natural, size 6P.

Holiday fun at Talbots includes so many fun tops….and Leigh Ann loved this one.

She is wearing the Perfect Shirt – Mini Dot in white and gold and a size 8P.  This top was one of her favorites on this visit.

Another favorite for Leigh Ann was this jacket and jegging combo!

She started with the Stretch Corduroy Jeggings in a color called Twig, and she is in size 8P.

Then added the Puff Sleeve Ribbed Turtleneck Sweater in the color Ivory and size PS.

The icing on the cake (if you will) is the Quilted Long Jacket in Rich Rust and a size PS.

Finally, we both tried on this holiday fun at Talbots in the Crewneck Pullover in Grey Sky Heather.

Leigh Ann is wearing PS, and I am wearing a misses large.

HOLIDAY FUN AT TALBOTS WITH ME

Let me begin with saying that I am a very universal size right now, Misses 16.  There are no pants in my size that I could try on in store.

Us universal ladies shop quickly and buy up those available pieces!

But, I did have fun with tops…particularly capes and ponchos and with those, I sized down.

This is the lovely Faux Fur Trim Poncho in black and I liked it in the XS/S size…more flattering fit.  It is a beautiful piece.

Again, you cannot see the sequins…they are understated but fun in this Sequin Embellished Poncho in gray….

I like it best in the XS/S.  And it also comes in Pink.

Holiday fun at Talbots has to include Christmas sweaters and tops!

This was one of my favorites and it looks great with the vest.

it is the Holiday Scene Puff Sleeve Crewneck Sweater in a large.  You can see there is a touch of the champagne color in the pattern so that it goes great with this vest.

One of my favorite combinations to wear is a blazer with a message tee….especially one that says JOYFUL!

This is the Good Tidings Plaid Blazer (love the name) in a size 16.

And I love it with the Crewneck Joyful Tee in a XL.

  1. Good to see those smiling faces and for you both to be out and about and enjoying trying on these delightful clothes.
I loved the Grey Sky Heather coloured pullover on both of you, and I am envious that our weather is always too warm to wear winter pullovers at Christmas time in Australia. The mini dot shirt really suits Leigh Ann and she glowed in the Rust Quilted Long Jacket. The ponchos looked fabulous on you and the Joyful top is just meant to be yours Pam.
    Take care.

  2. Love this post as you touch on so many items that made me smile. Starting with the fair isle sweater. Gorgeous! I’ve asked my husband for one for Christmas. The socks were also right up my alley. I don’t wear Christmas tops or sweaters but I will do fun socks. They keep me entertained when I look at my feet! Congratulations Pam on your weight loss and consciously striving for a healthy lifestyle. All of us struggle with this and your openness and sharing of recipes helps all of us to not feel alone. You look beautiful.

  3. Thank you so much, Kat! We are not alone but I understand that isolated feeling too well. We are all beautiful!

  4. Hi Pam,
You scored a touchdown with all of the Talbots outfits. We are in football mode here in Michigan. We watched the Detroit Lions on Thanksgiving day, and the University of Michigan on Saturday. Thanksgiving is always a fun sports weekend in Michigan. I love all of the Talbot holiday offerings you and Leigh modeled for us. The smiles on your, and Leigh’s face, reflect the Joyful feeling of the holiday season. I love the Joyful top and the Fair Isle sweaters for casual holiday gatherings. The rust jacket is a long lasting classic piece to add to a fall wardrobe.
Thanks for the great kickoff to the holiday season.

  5. That Michigan game was awesome! We enjoy d watching it! I think you know I am a huge football fan too!

  6. Just why I LOVE Talbots clothes! You really look wonderful in tge pieces you chose, as did Leigh Ann! I bought sone sweaters in their 50% off sale as I had nothing current that spoke to holiday! Now I own two!
You look so slim and trim Pam!

  7. Tremendous post today! I had to smile seeing you in that golden vest with fur collar, as I had just set out my clementine colored one from Talbot’s from last winter. Going to join friends for a birthday breakfast in celebration of our dear friend, so wanted to look joyful while bundling up for the cold weather.

  8. A lovely assortment of looks!

Just wanted to ask about the ‘Rich Rust’ colour of the Quilted Long Jacket – it looks much darker on Leigh Ann here (in the dressing room) than it does on the model.

Which photos would you say more accurately reflect the ‘true’ colour? Thanks 🙂

  9. Hi Zaeobi, I would go with the website…the dressing room lighting is not the best. It is a beautiful color.

  10. I do love these posts with you and Leigh! Talbots certainly has a great variety to offer.

So glad that you are feeling better, Pam.

  11. Hi there. I am a frequent shopper at Talbots and wear an 8 or 10 Petite pants. I would like to know how tall Leigh Ann is because I usually have to hem my pants. I am 5’2″.

I am glad I found you!

  12. That pink sweater looks great on Leigh Ann…I had to go back and see it again. Do you and Leigh Ann just dislike pink or do you think it does not flatter you?

  13. Hi Mary Frances, Leigh Ann and I both are in the autumn color palettes. It is not that we dislike pink, it is not one of our best colors and we like to wear the colors that help us look out best. We liked the outfit so much, we wanted the other color palette ladies to see it.

  14. I enjoy seeing a petite lady featured in a blog. I shop almost exclusively at Talbots. I did think the silver gray poncho looked small on you. Just my opinion…

  15. I appreciate your opinion, Vivian, but currently I am enjoying sizing down on ponchos. I personally like the look for me.

  16. Late in reading your post. Talbot ‘s is my favorite place to shop since they have petite sizing. Loved the tops you both wore.

  17. LOVE those holiday sweaters on y’all! The holly is my favorite, but these are all fun holiday looks.
