Spring at Talbots with Leigh & Me

Spring at Talbots

Happy Fashion Friday, everyone!   Today let’s take a look for Spring at Talbots with Leigh & Me.

Since, retiring, Leigh Ann is busier than ever, but I was able to capture her long enough for a look at Spring at Talbots.

She is so kind to do these shopping excursions with me…though I do not know how long she will be able to join in the fun.

So, let’s take advantage of her style alongside me and look over spring at Talbots.

The pieces at the top include:

Leigh Ann in the Buoyant Ditsy Popover top, and the Everyday Relaxed Jean – Fiji Wash and in a size 6 Petite.

Me in Drop Shoulder Crewneck Tee in Ivory and Bright Tangerine (Runs large) and the Pull-On Wide Crops in white.

SPRING AT TALBOT’S WITH LEIGH & ME: LEIGH’S LOOKS

Leigh Ann is looking great with her South American tan from recent travels.

The look goes perfect for spring at Talbots.

She is wearing the Relaxed Chino Shorts in Vivid Botanical (super cute) with the Gauze Band Collar Popover in Somerset Peach.

The size she is wearing in shorts is a 8 Petite, and the top is a Medium Petite.

She liked this comfy, vibrant, relaxed top with her jeans.

It is the Classic French Terry Half Zip Pullover Blended Floral in a medium petite.

Finally, for this trip to see spring at Talbot’s, Leigh Ann wanted to try a dress.

This is the Smocked Sleeve Tencel Denim Dress.

She liked the dress but would prefer to wear it with a skinny belt.

Both of us tried on looks that we did not prefer to picture…mostly due to fit…so these are the styles we believed you would want to see.

SPRING AT TALBOT’S WITH LEIGH & ME: MY LOOKS

spring at Talbots

Spring at Talbots offers a variety of transition looks from cold to warm….you still see a little of everything.

We are in full blown WARM in San Antonio, but I wanted to point out a few pieces the cooler weather ladies might enjoy.

Everything in this Haven collection is soft and relaxing…and organic.

I call this look Talbots Coastal Grandmother look and I could do it all day long if we had cold weather.

It is the Polished Lounge Tunic in Ivory with the Organic Cotton Interlock Lounge Joggers in the fawn color.

Spring at Talbots

I have discovered a new favorite pant at Talbots after the sales associate told me about them.

The fit and comfort make these a winner over traditional jeans.

The pants are the Talbots Soho 5-Pocket Jeggings in indigo blue.

She was a young woman and told me she wears these several times a week…and after trying them on…I know why.

I paired them with the Ruffle Trim Top Floral Garden Blouse under the Shirt Jacket in Sandstone….I liked this jacket very much, but sadly do not need another light jacket.

Spring at Talbots

Spring at Talbots is blooming all over…full of beautiful florals.

The top here is the Cotton Button Front Shirt – Lively Ditsy.

I really should have put it on with my jeans…but look at it online…such cute detailing in this top.

Spring at Talbots

For those in cooler weather who like orange…here is another option.

This is the Eyelet Sleeve Crewneck Sweatshirt and it actually is available in six colors.

I have it on with Everyday Stretch Straight Leg Pants in the T by Talbots collection…this is the navy blue.

SPRING AT TALBOT’S: IMPORTANT NOTES

Spring at Talbots

On March 10, almost all Talbots locations are hosting Spring at Talbots Trunk Shows…they will have more styles to show you and savings along with the looks.

I think many of the shows are at 10 AM, but check with your favorite location to confirm.

Also, I did bring home a dress from Nordstrom that is a sundress.  The only way I can wear it is with a shrug.

I found this one at Talbots and like it.  So I have ordered it in the Mint Green and will let you know if this works for one of the wedding activity outfits.

Thanks so much for joining Leigh Ann & I today to see a few of the spring at Talbots offerings….let us know if you have any questions…see you tomorrow for Would You Wear It and make sure that you always….

KEEP SMILING!!

  1. So sorry to hear that Leigh won’t be joining you as often . I always enjoy her different perspective and smile. Since we have been plowed out twice in this last week, you can imagine that seeing spring selections is a treat, although it is hard to find items for autumn coloring. I wish those soho pants were offered in a larger variety of colors. The shrug and dress look gorgeous. I look forward to your shopping journey next week!

  2. I’m starting to see people wearing the straighter leg pants around here (vs just seeing them on hangers in the stores last couple of seasons). The T ones you are wearing look like a great option. I liked that jacket too, but, like you, I have a similar one.

  3. Both of you look great in the selections. I’m not a fan of the wide leg pants because I’m 5’1.5” on a taller person they look great. Haven’t been in a Talbots in some time. Might have to check them out.

  4. Thank you so much for the Talbot’s try-on. Our Talbot’s never has the cuter items from the catalog and I so appreciate seeing how they look on a real person. I’m another Autumn who has a hard time finding my colors there so thanks for showing them. I have my eye on the shirt jacket and am waiting for the next sale. Did your regular size fit you the way you like?

  5. I finally decided to get the jacket with yesterdays pop up sale. I really like the shorter length better than my other longer jackets. The green is also a pretty color.

  6. Thanks Deborah. She will literally be all over the place in spring and summer, but I will pin her down when I can!

  7. Hi Pamela,
Thank you for the Talbots try ons. I loved you in the jeggings and the Orange top. I plan to be in Antonio in late summer. We live in Northern California, and it is still cold here. It will be fun to wear my summer clothes again. Enjoy your warm weather!

  8. Loved the spring looks…you both look so happy. I especially liked the tangerine top and flower shorts Leigh modeled. Wish I had them when I was on a cruise end of January..still very chilly in Northern California, I might look at the sales at Talbot’s for some transitional sweaters…….

  9. I love the jeggings on you. Are they true to size or did you have to size up?.I wish there came in springier colors. I’d order them now!

  10. I wear a size 16 so I guess they are true to size. Love the fit of jeggings!

  11. I hope the orange eyelet sleeve sweatshirt and navy pants went home with you. I love that look on you!

  12. Thanks Tina! The sweatshirt is a little too warm for San Antonio but it is a cute top! I actually did get the pants!
